1997 Volvo 960, 155,000 miles. Runs great. This car is a tank, rock solid. If you know Volvos you know this is destined to last a long time. I also have a 1996 Volvo 960 that I’m keeping, and which is still running great with 318,000! Timing belt last done at 110k, inside is immaculate considering the age, exterior is fine also. See the pictures. Brakes last done at 135k. Awesome radio and five disc CD Changer (in trunk). I’m selling this car because I bought my wife a new car, and I don’t need this one any longer. A few things about this car in the interest of full disclosure. The check engine light has been on for about 10,000 miles. My mechanic checked the codes and apparently it’s a secondary air injection pump, but I have not had it fixed – so its still on. It seems to burn oil at about a quart every 2000 miles, but there aren’t any apparent oil leaks. The heater fan doesn’t appear to blow very hard, but the heater works great (AC did work this past summer). Tire treads are low, but drivable – for a little while. The battery needs to be replaced, maybe this winter. The hood won’t stay up when you pop the hood. I use a ski pole to keep it up while I work! Other than those fixable items, this car is a gem. Low reserve. I need to sell this. I do have car repair records since I bought the car back in September of 2009 from a dealer up on Long Island. I'm the third owner - I think.
