Here we have a classic 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster. This car was repainted a few years ago in it's original Arctic white and shines nicely. Very little in the way of scratches or blemishes. The chrome bumpers and trim are VERY BRITE and show no signs of pitting. The rubber bumperetts are also in very nice condition with little show of wear. The wheels are original and show no signs of curb damage. The canvas top is also in very good to excellent condition and the rear window is clear. The wood trim on the center console has a few cracks as most do but are minimal. The carpets have a few small stains but once again, for a 27 year old car they are minimal. The seats are in very good to excellent condition with minimal signs of wear and no tears. The glass is windshield has a few stone chips but no cracks. The top portion of the dashboard (where it meets the windshield) has a few cracks but once again, it's 27 years old. The frame of the car has some rust as most cars in the Northeast but it is far from being a issue. The air condition system was changed to accept the newer CFC free R-132a. The A/C is currently inop. We would rate this a category 3 using the Hagerty scale "#3 cars could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 car, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior. #3 cars drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These cars are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws.
