After that, the 67 is the model (67 = 500XL 2 door hard top). X = 352 FE big block. After that we have the consecutive unit number. Each assembly plant with each model year, begins with a consecutive unit number 10001 and continues on for each car built. About the car! Up for your consideration is this beautiful 1963 Galaxie 500 XL. The car is from California and has only been here in PA this summer. I bought the car with the intention of making a 406 Nostalgic drag car. Once I got the car I realized it was WAY too nice to change or restore. This car is NOT a candidate for restoration, it needs to be preserved and kept as is. It needs the headliner installed but you get a brand new one. As with most California cars, it is so solid. Look at the link to see 100+ high definition pictures. You will see how absolutely solid this car is. As you will see there is a dent/scrape on the passenger rear quarter where someone must have kissed the garage. The car is unrestored but has had one repaint. The car runs and drives great! I just took it on a 150 mile trip, no issues. I am currently changing the exhaust manifold gaskets as the did start to leak a bit on the trip. So that one less thing you need to worry about! Also - if you every wanted anything done, I build a lot of FE engines. So I can always add a 4 barrel, install a performance cam. At an affordable rate, you can add on anything you wish before taking delivery! This car still has the original front and rear MATCHING black plates. These were put on the car in 1963 by the original owner and haven never been taken off. Look at the manual, you will see the original dealership info matching the car. This is a documented car! Rare Options:SUPER RARE power windows and remote mirror. And - they all work! Factory tinted windows. Factory locking gas cap. Factory seat belts! This is a very solid, rare, desirable car.
