This 51 Chevy has the right "Survivor Kustom look" The body is straight and solid shot in a older Butter Cream paint with Ruby Red heavy metal flake. The roof is just red base coat and still needs to be metal flaked, just never got around to doing it and the look of this Truck grown on me.It starts, drives and stops very well. It has a Rebuilt 235 Thrift-master Six cylinder with approx 5000 miles on it since rebuild. Runs strong and starts up every time first try. Daily Driven! This Pickup has all new 12 volt system with good wiring, GM 80 amp Alternator, new battery, rebuilt carburetor w/ chrome breather, chrome valve cover, new starter and solenoid. Full time electric push fan and new hoses help the radiator stay cool like Fonzi. The Transmission is a 3 speed on the floor that shifts great in all gears, short shifter with vintage cast shift knob. 6 Lug rearend with open drive-line helps this vintage truck scoot down the freeway. Split Headers and "Dual Exhaust” dumps straight out the back, sounds great. Clean gas tank. This Truck is lowered 8 under stock with de-arched leaf springs axel over with blocks in the back and leafs in the front. Brand new 16" Firestone Wide White Wall Tires in the front and 15" Firestones on the rear, Black Gennie Rims with Original Chevrolet Script hubcaps. This Classic stops on a dime, brakes were bled and adjusted. The Burgundy interior is very comfortable with nice carpet, full door panels, Freshly wrapped original seat. It is plush and free of rips or tears, I've cleaned it up the best I could and it don't look to bad, I have kept everything on the interior original. Repainted gauges, dash, with nice chrome garnish around all the interior glass. The bed is very usable with re-purposed barn wood, for that farm truck feel. The inside of the box measures 50x78 and modified with bed tie downs to load and haul a full size Harley Davidson. The body is straight overall. One peice custom hood, molded front fenders, roll pan, smoothed and altered bed where all done years ago and show some age, but thats part of what makes this truck "one of a kind". It has patina, some dents and dings. That said the truck is SOLID!!! This Truck is for someone to just enjoy a nice daily driver or take it to shows it's not perfect it's not a trailer queen by any means but it's a cool old pick-up and there are not many unmolested like this around. This is a California truck and has always been to the best of my knowledge, a daily driver with clear California title and commercial Plates. Currently registered with Visible Vin and Body Tags. Drive as is or restore it, must see to appreciate!!!
