Vehicle Detail

This is a 1975 International Harvester SCOUT II with a 345 & Automatic Transmission. Some of the reasons this is a good deal for you is that it has a 6 point roll cage installed and the springs are mounted on top of the axles for about 4 more inches of clearance. The engine runs VERY solid but there is an electrical problem I can't figure out but when you do this will climb a tree for you. There is an oil leak that I think is the oil pan seal, it has been sitting all winter. The odometer only has 5 digits so the body likely has over 200K on it & the engine was rebuilt about 4yrs ago. The body is in great shape and the rust is minimal. There are some spots in the door channel that could use work, the rest is minor around the wheel wells VERY manageable no "cancer". The interior has some after market mods and changes (none made by me, it was like that at purchase). The dash was re-wired with different gauges, the radio was moved and a hole cut in the dash to fit a CD player. The front seats are VERY nice, they are some of the most comfortable I have ever sat in (I am comparing them to newer lumber/tilt type seats). The rear bench seat is original and I think the pictures can give you the rest you need to know. Also included are the "I/H" & "INTERNATIONAL" emblems, an aftermarket power window kit (the window rollers butt up against the cage when the doors are closed so you have to roll down your windows BEFORE you close the door) and the A/C condenser. If you buy this DEFINATELY bring a trailer to pick it or you can arraign pick-up and I will be happy to help with that. The title is clear, in the name of my wife and I. This is a great Scout II & reasons I am selling it are I am NOT a good mechanic nor do I have the patience/ money to maintain this SUV. The engine runs well but there is a problem between the battery and it cranking over?? I parked it last July because of the starting problem then fired up last week after putting a new starter. After a bit of blue smoke and idling I shut it off to try it again and nothing. The other reason is I want an down payment on another rig (much newer) and this will hopefully be it!
