Vehicle Detail
1970 Honda CT90. This bike has been meticulously restored with nothing left undone. It actually has ten miles on it since the restoration just to make sure it's tuned and there are no issues. It runs perfect! All parts used are genuine Honda except for some fasteners that were upgraded to stainless steel. The other exception is the brand new reproduction carburetor. It is an exact repro of the original Keihin, and Keihin jets even fit! The engine was disassembled with all parts inspected and rebuilt or replaced as required. All new gaskets and seals. The rest of the bike was stripped to bare metal and refinished with the highest quality polyurethane paint( two part single stage for the yellow, basecoat/clearcoat for the metallic gray). The aluminum parts were polished and clearcoated as from the factory. The chrome parts were replated or replaced as required. It has a brand new Honda exhaust pipe, not a patched up or aftermarket replacement. The wheels are rebuilt with new old stock rims and spokes, not refinished. New tires, sprockets and chain. New cables, tailight, headlight rim, and upholstery. The wiring harness was un-taped, inspected, and any questionable wires or connectors were replaced with new factory pieces. New battery. All new rubber pieces(grips, footpeg rubbers, speedo cushion, carburetor boot, fuel lines, etc.)The fuel tank was stripped, cleaned, and sealed. Absolutely no shortcuts were taken on this project. It is as close to a new CT90 as it can get! Clear title, and current tags! It would be a perfect pit bike at the race track, car shows, motorcycle shows, or on the back of your motor home. I would prefer not to ship it, but I will crate it for your shipping company at the cost of materials only. It is advertised elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end this sale at any time. I will also be happy to provide copies of all of the parts receipts to the succsessful bidder upon request. I build and restore motorcycles for a living. This project did get a little out of control as we spent more on parts than we should have, but it came out really nice. We had the bike at the annual El Camino Classic Motorcycle show 9/20/2014, and everyone who saw it thought we had found one in a crate that had never been assembled before. That's how nice this bike is. Note: While I'm keeping the mileage as close as possible, I do show customers who come in person how it runs. With that, it could have a couple more than ten since the restoration.
