Vehicle Detail

NOTE: A FEW MONTHS AGO WE REPRESENTED A VAN FOR ANOTHER DEALER AND IT COST US OUR PERFECT FEEDBACK SCORE. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN! This 1985 Lincoln Continental Mark VII LSC is back after a long sleep. We have not cleaned it at all. You see it as we got it. It has not been driven a lot in the last few years, a little over 16,000 miles since 1997. This Mark has spent it's life here in South Carolina and is rust free. The paint is very good with minor wear from normal use. Overall a very beautiful car. This appears to be a repaint, but it is a very good one. There is a paint chip on the top of the trunk. The royal blue leather interior is in very good condition. It does look like the driver seat bottom has had some work. The carpets are excellent, free of wear and stains. It could use a new steering wheel cover. The headliner is excellent, although there is some looseness in the material on the visors. The fully carpeted trunk is very clean. Having been in the south there is no rust on this Mark. This was the last year of the single point fuel injection. It's not my favorite but this Mark starts easily and runs smooth. I would do a complete tune up if I were to buy it for myself as I do not know how long since the last one. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts well through all gears without slippage. This is an early version of Ford's overdrive, so the shift points are more noticeable than modern electronic overdrive, but not harsh. The tires have good tread but are old. I drove this car about 20 miles home and I could tell the tires need changing. THEREFORE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING THIS MARK VII FAR. IT SHOULD BE TRAILERED IF YOU ARE A DISTANCE AWAY, BECAUSE OF THE TIRES. Otherwise this car drives fine at 60MPH. The last owner updated the wheels to the newer BBS wheels. They are in very good condition. THE AIR SUSPENSION WORKS PERFECTLY. This 1985 Lincoln Mark VII is loaded with about every option offered that year. All options appear to work as designed. The factory power moonroof works great but the rubber trim is pulling away some on the right side. It does not leak at all. The automatic climate control works great and the air conditioning is cold. The fan works in low and high speeds but not middle. It feels like the button is sticking. We had a non paying bidder who bid and did not even bother to contact us on the last car we listed. He has been reported. If you have zero feedback please contact us before bidding or risk having your bid cancelled. Please be sure to read the payment and contact requirements before bidding. It will make life easier for all of us. We require contact and a $500 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of auction end. This is a non reserve auction and the starting price is very reasonable. So, bid away. Thanks
