1986 GSXR 1100, 14,602 miles, original owner, excellent condition, Completely stock. I purchased this bike new in March 1986 when I was 29. It has been licensed and driven every year. I am selling it because my retirement home in Florida doesn‘t have enough garage space. Everything works, nothing leaks, and it runs perfect. It has no sun fading as it was always garaged and covered. It is completely original down to the warning labels and cable ties. The most serious mechanical work ever performed were valve adjustments (once at 1000 miles and once at 11000 miles). The tires and brake pads have only about 1000 miles on them. The tires are Dunlop 120/70ZR18 front and 170/60ZR18 rear. They are slightly wider than original(which are no longer available)and fixed the high speed wobble that the bike had with the original tires. The air filter is a single K&N filter element inside the original housing. I still have the original paper element air cleaner. As soon as the warranty was up, 1987, the pilot (idle) jets were opened up to 0.5mm and ignition timing advanced 5 degrees. This gave much faster starting, better throttle response and performance. (premium fuel only) It will still do 0 to 60mph in 3 seconds all day long. The pictures do not show the touch up paint on the right side lower fairing dark blue bulge where it was damaged when the wind blew it off the kickstand. The camera would not show the dark blue. The other damage is the crack and yellowed epoxy in the left fairing below the mirror and scrapes on the fairing bottom where I went down a curb that was a little too high. There are no other scratches on tank or bodywork. Stripes and decals are all in excellent condition. The small tear in the seat back pad - right side - was there since new and I never tried to repair it. The gear shift lever rubber and rear brake rubber are cracked and need replacement. The brake rotor thicknesses are LF 0.159”, RF 0.166” and rear 0.211”. Service manual minimums are 0.15” front, 0.22” rear. I always used the soft stock pads so rotor wear was kept to a minimum. I also replaced the brake and clutch fluid every 2 years so there is no internal corrosion. The complete tool kit, owners manual, service manual, cover, and sales receipt are included. Also my home made rear stand. There is only one key as the other was with my radar detector which was stolen by the ex-wife many years ago.
