Vehicle Detail

1969 Mustang Fastback NO RESERVE Hi, Thanks for stopping by and checking out another one of our cars. This is a very nice 1969 Mustang Fastback, that is in very nice shape. When it comes to Mustangs, this is one of my favorites, the 1969 Mustang Fastback is very aggressive and good looking. The car has not been through a restoration, it was repainted in the late 1980's. We got the car from a gentleman who bought it in the early 1980's, he had it painted around 1986, he some interior upgrades to it at the time as well. He continued working on the car, in his home shop, eventually wanting to get it back out on the road. This car had not been on the road or registered since 1982 until we got it. Around 2012, he decided that he would get it finally back on the road, kids all grown up, the honey do list was done, so now was his chance. He had brakes redone, general tune ups, (though he always had it running all these years, just never registered it or really drove it, maybe around the block, from time to time.) Before he could finish it, he passed away, he waited 30 years to take his dream car to completion. The car was given to his son along with a collection of other cars, but this Fastback was his dads pride and joy. We got this little fastback from his son, and it has been a delight to be around it is a very honest car. Original quarter panels, floors, frame rails, this is a very solid honest car. Please check out the rest of description, and pictures below. His son, told us since the car had not been registered since 1982, that his father said the car did have 48,292 original miles on it. I do not have documention on mileage so assume it has rolled over. But what I do know, is that the car runs and drives fantastic, the body is in very good structural shape, and is a very solid 1969 Mustang Fastback. This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning that every bid on the car has the potential to own it at the end. I started doing this around 2008 when the economy went south. At that point I decided to go No Reserve, I am here to sell cars, not see how close they can get to a reserve. I have owned a lot of Mustangs, and they are my favorite cars of all times, especially the aggressive looks of the 1969 Mustang fastback. This car is up for sale, I am serious about selling it, top bid gets the car and they will be the proud new owners. The Paint is in nice shape, it has a nice gloss to it. As I mentioned earlier, it was repainted in the late 1980's. But overall it is in decent shape, excellent driver quality. I would take it to a car show or local show and shine any day of the week. It looks very nice, but as you get really close you might see a little wear on the paint here and there, some very small chips, tiny scratches, but darn few. The car could really use a nice cut and buff again, it would do it wonders. But with that said, it looks great just the way it is. The body is pretty straight down the sides, and looks in good shape. Look at the pictures and you will really get a good idea of what it is. The car is not rusty, it is very solid. It does have its original quarter panels, rear taillight panel, all original. No signs of any major rust repairs, the frame rails, front and back are very straight, no signs of any accidents, very clean. The undercarriage has never been touched, it has wear on it, but pretty typical for a car that has been driven. The passenger floor, has some pin holes in it, but at the same time, it is really solid. I personally would probably weld up all the holes on this floor, it is not weak. I would try to save it, it feels very solid. After welding the pin holes, I would put POR 15, on top and seal it, this stuff is amazing. The rest of the floors look really good for original. There is a little rust blister starting on the rear of the drivers roof gutter as well, it has not broken threw, but they are there, see picture. The Battery box, and the very bottom of the tray, is rusted, and will need replaced, really hard to see it, and could not get a good photo of it. It would not take much to fix it actually. Overall this Mustang is in very good shape. The drivetrain is in very good shape. I took the Cobra Valve covers off, and put new gaskets on them, and at the same time decided to take a picture of the Rockers, the engine is very clean inside. I do not know the history of the engine. The engine I believe may be the original 302 in it, factory 2v. It starts right up, does not blow any smoke or burn oil. It runs very smooth, and has good acceleration. It is running dual exhaust as well, which is a nice add. The transmission is a C4 automatic, it shifts very nice. No noise, Ujoints feel good, it does kick down like it should. The brakes are drum all the way around, and they stop nice and straight, no pulling on chatter. Overall mechanically I think it is in pretty nice shape. It does have power steering as well, and works like a dream. The tires are in excellent shape, with Added original Deluxe 1969 GT/Mach 1 wheels, they are original, and in nice condition. All exterior lights are working, brakes, markers are working. But the lights in hood scoop are not hooked up, reverse lights and lic. plate light are not working currently. Interior is in nice shape. It currently has deluxe interior in it, door panels, seats are all in nice shape. I am not sure if it originally came with these options because the door tag is missing on the car, that list all the interior codes, Marti Auto Works, can make a new tag if you want down the road for $15 with original options. I suspect that the door panels were added to the car. The seats are in really nice shape, no rips or tears. The headliner in in excellent shape as well. The dash pad, had a couple cracks in it. The steering wheel is a deluxe rim blow, but it needs to be restored. Has cracks, in it, and the rubber center pad is missing around the little round dials. The Radio is not working in the car. Door panel lights are not hooked up. The windshield wipers, heater fan, lights all work. The gauges work, but the oil pressure gauge when you turn on the car it automatically goes to high, so I suspect the sending unit may be bad. The interior is nice and clean, but it could use a few things, to make it even more presentable as time allows, simple bolt on pieces. like the surround, next the shifter etc. It is a non smoker interior, it smells very pleasant for a vintage car. The trunk area is very clean as well. The glass is all good in the car, the door glass rolls up and down nicely, no chips in the windshield, nice and clean. This is a NO RESERVE, starting bid at $19.69, yes NO RESERVE, top bid gets it. View the pictures read the auction, if you have more questions let me know, would be glad to help you out.
