Up for bid is a nice 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT 4X4 pick up.This truck was owned by my late father and was pampered well. He never drove it during the winter so it was not exposed to salted roads so it is virtually rust free. Details:The truck has 60134 original miles on it. The engine is a 5.9 ltr V8 gas fuel, 4 speed auto transmission with overdrive, 4 wheel drive, 4.10 axle with anti spin differential, Tow package, remote trailer brake control, Laramie SLT trim package, Chrome wheels, A/C, Cruise, Tilt wheel, Fog lamps, Power seat, power mirrors, electronic compass and thermometer, rubber bed mat, bed cap. Also has wheel to wheel running boards on both sides. The truck has a clear title in my name. Mechanical Condition:Engine starts and runs well, no smoke or noises. Trans and 4WD works as it should. Brakes good. All gages, lights and accessories work. Tires are in excellent condition with a lot of tread left. Suspension seems fine. The steering wheel is off center to the left when driving but no unusual tire wear. May need slight alignment. Drivers door could use adjustment. My father was handicapped and put his weight on the door to get in the truck. Nothing major, just makes slight contact with the door guide when opening and closing. Original drivers side mirror was replaced with a power sport style mirror when the original came loose. Will include the passenger sport mirror and the original drivers side mirror extension so you can go back to stock mirrors with extensions for towing. The A/C works well, but could be better with a fresh service. The engine compartment is clean and nothing appears to be leaking or in need of service. Oil and filter were done less than 6 months ago. It also passed New York state inspection with no issues. Cosmetic Condition: Overall for its age the interior and exterior are in very good condition. The following are the flaws or imperfections that I noticed and feel any buyer should know about. Interior: The carpet mat on the drivers side has some discoloration and wear otherwise in good shape. Seats are clean with normal minor wear. Drivers seat has a small mark where it looks like something hot may have touched it. About ¼ inch in diameter. No tears or rips.. Dash has no cracks or splits. There is one small screw hole at the bottom center where he a microphone holder mounted. Head line and door panels are fine. The trim panel just behind the passengers seat has two small screw holes where he had a speaker mounted. Exterior:Rust- None around any wheel wells, rocker panels or lower body panels. There is one small area of surface rust on the lower part of the drivers door and the kick panel where some paint was either worn or chipped off. Each is about the size of a nickel. Paint- Overall good with nice gloss. The hood has several areas where the clear coat is coming off, the color underneath is fine. The roof has a circular area where the paint has come off from a magnetic antenna the he had up there. The primer underneath is still in tact. There is a long scratch on the passenger side front fender. Some smaller scratches on the drivers and passengers doors and small ones on other areas around the bed. Dents - My father backed into something at some point and bent the back bumper. Don’t seem to be any damage to the body. A brand new in the box bumper is included with the truck. There is small dent in the back left rear corner on top of the cap. I believe it can be popped back out by hand. There are no evident leaks in the cap. The truck also comes with its original owners manual, keys and remotes for the power door locks. Also keys for the cap lock. On Sep-17-14 at 05:12:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Two additional details: There is a dent I forgot to mention when I did the original listing. Just above the passenger side of the rear bumper there is a dent where the bumper creased the body panel when my father bent the bumper. The detail report says that there is a lien on the truck. When I transferred the truck into my name from my late father, DMV showed a lien even thought the truck was paid off years ago. It seems that the bank the held the loan was bought by another bank and the lien release was never sent to my father or DMV afterwords. I was able to work with the bank and got the lien release that should have been issued years ago. I will pass on the lien release document to the new owner along with the title in my name.
