I have for sale my 1970 Plymouth Satellite project car. This car is very complete and straight with tons of originality. This car is complete down to the original spare, bumper jack and even the owner’s manual was still in the glove box. This satellite has the original slant 6 engine still under the hood. According to the previous owner, the car last ran as recently as a few years ago though it’s been off the Texas (car is out of west central Texas) roads since the early 1990’s. It is currently not a running car. As for completeness, the only thing that I can determine is missing would be the back glass and that is only because it was accidently broken out while loading the car. It has gotten to be very difficult to find a car this original and complete. The car has had two (2) registered owners prior to me with the most recent being the gentleman who purchased the car in 1974 that I acquired it from. There is some rust in the car but it is minimal. The floor pans have a fair amount of scale but the only rust through is some small holes in the front driver’s floor pan near the seat. The trunk pan, rear window corners and quarter panels all have some rust but it is minor in comparison to the majority of these cars. From my inspection the frame rails look to be in perfect condition. I have owned a large number of mopars over the past couple decades and if this isn’t the straightest one I’ve found it’s certainly near the top of the list. It isn’t perfect, but it is a very nice starting point for a fairly easy restoration. In fact, this car is nice enough it’d be a good candidate to drop a big block in and drive it like it is as a survivor of sorts. I’ve included a PhotoBucket link below that has more pics of the car. I have registered this car in Oklahoma and I will have the clean and clear Oklahoma title back in my name by the end of the week. The successful bidder is required to send a $500 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, do not bid until you have discussed options with me. Failure to make the deposit within the specified timeframe (unless otherwise agreed) will result in the opening of a non-paying bidder case against the winning bidders account and the car will be offered to the next highest bidder via eBay’s second chance offer system. So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding. I’ll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier’s check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car. ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions. Therefore, if a zero feedback bidder or non-U.S. bidder wins the auction with a last minute bid and they have not contacted me prior to bidding, I will not recognize or honor their bid. In such a situation, the car will be sold to the next highest bidder with positive feedback providing their bid met the reserve. I wish these steps were not necessary, but the large number of non-paying bidders require such action. BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message. I also expect the bidder to conduct themselves professionally and be prompt with communications and payment. My goal is to not just have a satisfied buyer at the end of the auction process but also a friend.
