For sale is a 1977 Honda CB750A 'Hondamatic', 28k miles, never down, runs perfectly (here's a video of a cold startup: http://youtu.be/JtrERPb7Wps ). I bought it in 2009 and have babied it (kept indoors, heated garage over the winter) since. The bike is registered in Maine, with a clean Maine title. I also have the original repair manual and tool kit. This would be an excellent first bike, or a great bike for an older or disabled rider for whom shifting is a pain (you could even trike it out if that's your thing...). This bike is rare, particularly so in this condition; needless to say, it will only increase in value and is worth more than the asking price for its parts alone. The CB750A is an automatic in the sense that there is a torque converter in place of a clutch with a 2 speed transmission with high and low ratios that is shifted with the left foot, again no clutch lever for the left hand. Low gear redlines at 50 MPH, high gear at about 100. I put a lowering kit on it, probably dropped 1.5-2". I have the original shocks, which are yours if you purchase the bike. All lights and wiring are good. My mechanic states that it is in excellent condition, and I and my wallet agree: in June the bike got new tires, fork seals, chain, battery, gasket, front sprocket, carb clean/sync, oil, brake pads, brake flush, checked top to bottom. I just got back from a 500 mile ride and the bike performed superbly. In the interests of transparency, there are a couple of small scratches on the plastic battery cover, etc... this bike has not been restored professionally, so is not of showroom quality, but remains in great shape with absolutely zero major issues.I am located in Lincoln County, Maine and will deliver the bike for free within 50 miles driving distance, anywhere within 150 miles driving distance for $50, and $1 per mile for any additional distances, up to 500 miles. If you choose to have me deliver the bike, I'll take a $300 nonrefundable deposit over PayPal, with the remaining amount (cash or PayPal ONLY) payable upon delivery; Riders with endorsements only may test ride with the sale value of the bike put as a refundable deposit.
