Vehicle Detail

From the owner; What a fun car, after 4+ years of working on the restoration, doing the conversion work and driving this car to shows and around town I can honestly say I've had my fun and time to let another enjoy the car.The car was received from Bakersfield California in great shape, no rust no rot and a few dimples in the body. We stripped the car to the bare bones and sent it out for body work. I have too many pictures to list but will share some of the process and the finished work. I shaved the antenna hole for a cleaner look. Some of the new features include a 150HP B-20 which was built by John Parker of VPD, look him up, we built the Street performer with the Type 2 head. Punchy little motor and everything we bolted to it was brand new and with the custom color paint on the motor it looks as good as it goes. We backed it up with Parkers T-9 Ford conversion giving us a true 5 speed experience. The car was originally an automatic so the rear gears were set from the factory with a 3:90 ratio. I left it stock and glad I did because with the added power the car cruises nicely at 70 MPG and 3000 RPM, cant beat that. The brakes disc/drum were all done, master was upgraded to a twin circuit system. All clutch components are brand new. The T-9 was completely rebuilt. The electrical work, new wiring harness from head lamp to tail lamp, alternator conversion, power windows added, all new gauge cluster which is a real jewel of the car and interchangeable with other 122's. Everything works right down to the lighter. Glass is in great shape with a new windshield and tinted side and rear glass. Chrome and bright work are all ok, some new pieces to replace the dinged up ones and some old worth keeping. Suspension, all new neoprene bushings and guides. this car came stock with the 'progressive' springs and rides very nicely as a four wheel coil spring car should. The exhaust is a header into a muffler into a resonator, sound is awesome. Interior, check out the dash, if your not familiar with this upgrade check out others and come back. Between the gauges and the fabrication this was a 5000+ dollar project and well worth it. Its awesome. Steering wheel is original, I rewound new leather myself and spent about 10 hours getting the horn ring to work again through trial and error, in the end it is perfect and sends the signal to 2 new true euro sounding horns. The door panels, my pet projects, between my wood fab and the interior crew at R&R we did a great job making them awesome. The carpet, Picasso, you either love it or hate but cant deny it is cool, custom cut and sewn again R&R did a great job. Center console, this piece is not yet complete but functions well. Seats, front are from SCAT of California, rear is the stock frame the R&R went over to make look like the front buckets, snazzy right? New headliner, seat belts added that are retractable. Sound, through the speakers Alpine sends a great sound, CD player with Blue Tooth option, 5" front and 9" rear speakers, go cruising with your fav tunes Krankin out the windows, everyone will be jealous. Over all I have spent more money than I want to admit but I didn't care, this car is a blast. Everyone wants to talk to you about it so buyer beware. There is still tons of room to upgrade and hotrod this machine. The reserve is set at a fair price and no where near my investment so to you bidding, your getting a great deal on a great car and what fun your going to have.
