Vehicle Detail

5 day Auction, NO RESERVE!. This is the same body as an SS, easily changed to an SS. This is a 1966 Chevy II Nova. I bought this car while stationed in Pearl Harbor in 1986. When I bought the car, it had a blown 230 6 cylinder in it, I dropped in the 327 (according to cowl tag, this was a factory V8 Chevy II 400 - see pic, line 2; 116, the 1 is the GM division Chevrolet and the 16 is the V8 code, the H in the 4th line designates factory heater delete - rare!) This is not a numbers car. In 1992 I worked in a body shop. Car was completely stripped to parade rest. All Bondo was removed any rotted steel was replaced. Minimal body filler was used, only as necessary to cover welds - there is body filler, body is not perfect, however, this is a very solid car (if body was show perfect, I'd be asking a lot more). Minimal effort and this could be a beautiful car ... Body was acid etched and Variprimed. Car was sprayed with a 1992 Cavalier color Bright Aqua Marine. The color flops from Blue to Emerald green. Trunk has surface rust, does not need to be replaced and is solid, sandblast and spray it'd be good to go. Bodywork done in 93, starting to show ware and some bubbling - This is a project car, but a great place to start! Car is factory heater delete, very rare. This is the same body as an SS and could be changed into one. Battery trunk mounted, not in battery housing box in pictures. Car runs, it has been sitting in storage since 2006. This car goes from 0-90 mph very fast, but that's all she wrote. The Powerglide actually makes the car fun to drive; nothing liking dropping into first at 55, 60 mph and mashing the gas! Power plant is a 1964 327 with a steel crank.Cylinders were bored .030 making it a 331 ci. Heads are ported and polished camel backs with 2.02 intake valves, 64 ccPistons: Badger Flat Top. With the heads 10:1 compressionIntake: Eldelbrock Performer Dual plane manifold. Ports matched to headsCarb: Holley 780 cfm, vacumm secondariesCam: Crower Do not remember specs . Car has smooth idle and snappy response... 7200 RPM red LineLifters: Crower HydraulicIgnition: Excell Super Coil Timing: Pete Jackson Gear DriveSteel Crank turned .010, polishedExhaust: Hedman Headers to 2 1/2 in exhaust flowing through Sonic Turbos Transmission:1966 Power glideTCI manual Valve bodyB&M 3500 stall Shifted by Hurst Quarter Stick Stock rear end, never got around to working on that. BELIEVE 4:11 gears, not sure.Sits on stock mono springs - they sag needs a multi spring kitSits on stock 13 inch wheels (yes, 13 inch) with hubcaps Brakes: all stock, drums all the way around. I have never had an issue stopping the car... All new poly graphite front end components, HD front sway bar.Interior: Black excellent condition (needs headliner ear muffs)Autogage cluster and tach Issues: windows go up and down, not smoothly. Doors sag, need pins. Rear monoleafs sag, I would replace. Engine needs a 4 core HD radiator. Engine as is does not like traffic. NY title registration states this is a 1967. NY messed it up when I brought over from Hawaii. 6th number of VIN shows it is indeed a 66. I put in a new power steering hydraulic manifold, however as with many of these cars steering is loose (driveable, but loose). This car is not perfect, but with a little work could be awesome and flipped for a decent profit. Note: car needs some detail interior especially cleans up... CLEAR NY TITLE IN MY NAME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CALL/TEXT Eric AT 716-266-8212. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS UP FRONT I WILL HELP WITH LOADING THE VEHICLE FOR THE SHIPPER IF NEEDED. VEHICLE WILL NOT LEAVE MY RESIDENCE UNTIL ALL MONEY IS PAID IN FULL CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY THERE IS NO WARRANTY AS THIS IS A OLDER CAR SOLD AS IS
