1964 Chevrolet Impala SS hardtop Real "SS" hardtop with original, matching numbers 327, transmission, carb, etc. Basically unaltered after all these years. Was last bought in early 1970's by it's 2nd and most recent owner, it had 1 repaint in the same color around 1980 and was parked in garage not long after until just last month. Owner's son encouraged her to sell the car. Everything on car is factory and correct to car with exception of the one repaint, a dash pad added and new air filter housing (I have original one as well). The carburetor was just rebuilt, gas tank cleaned & fuel lines blown out. New brakes were just put on before being parked. They work fine but are very hard from sitting. Car shifts, drives as it should but I have not taken it very far as tires are very old and I don't trust them even though they don't leak air. Interior is beautiful, seats have no tears or stains. Carpet shows some wear but is very presentable and usable. Headliner also has no tears or stains. Floorboards are amazing and solid. I'm not promissing car is bondo free, but it is very presentable. Underside of hood and trunk lid are also very solid. The only rust I've found on the car is some bubbling on the passenger side by rear wheel well. For a 30+ year old paint job, that's all that has surfaced. Driver's side door paint is chipped at edge but no rust. Undercarriage has never been touched and is dirty but seems solid everywhere. All glass is in good shape, windows in great working order. Rear passenger side window has a chip out of the chrome window casing. No rust on bumpers and look good and if looking up close, shows minor speckles & wear visible up close. It's what came with the car. Stainless around grill and trunk have some dings and bumps. Original SS hubcaps also have wear but are still with the car. Power Steering, no power brakes. I've tried to include photos of all the bad spots on car. I can't vouch for everything mechanically and prefer buyer to have inspection or test drive, but she starts up, runs great and is beautiful for a car that has not been restored outside of the 1980's refreshing.
