We are relisting this truck due to a non paying overseas bidder. The reserve is set well below the market value of this truck so bid to own it!

This 1949 Chevy 5 window pick up truck came from a small western Minnesota town. (lakefield mn) where no salt was used on the roads. The farmer who drove this truck told me that he has been driving it every year since he has owned it. He has maintained it and stored it for the winters indoors and used it in spring summer and fall for the past 15 years. I bought it from him in june and he had told me that the truck had very little rust on it when he had it painted for taking it to local shows and parades.

When I bought the truck in june, I installed a new coil, condensor, rotor, and points. This truck purrrs like a kitten. We just got back from using the truck this last weekend on a 2 day road tour with our car club and we had no problems. Our average speed was 40-50 mph and it was a blast to cruise and drive! Lots of thumbs up and head turns!! I took pictures of any cosmetic spots I did see (small spot in rear bed interior , along bottom of tailgate ,..etc look at pics), It is a stage one paint on the truck and shows great in my opinion. The interior is original with no rust I could see in the floors ( see pics) The fenders are dent free (except for one small dent you will not be able to see in the pics on the right rear lower next to the box, very minor but there.) The dash is original paint along doors and cab. (true survivor) All of the guages appear to be working exepct for the speedometer. The headlights are working, the tailights are not hooked up but the wire harness goes back to them. The heater and fan work. The seat look good as pictured and the truck still has the original headliner. The glass is all there and in great shape except the passenger door window has cracks. (LMC truck has precut glass replacment for under $50) the windows go up and down. The drivers door could be adjusted to shut tighter but both doors open and shut with no sag.

The 6 cyl 216 engine runs great with no knocks, misses, or smoke. The brakes work and the 4 speed clutch shifts gears the way it should. The tires look good. The chrome on the truck shines great. The box has plywood with the original metal slats. This is a rare five window that rides and drives great.

I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall it, but I am totally impressed by how it has survived in the condition it is!

This truly will make the new owner a fun truck to enjoy for daily driving or going on cruises with your car club.

Understand that this is a 65 year old truck and it has not had a frame off restoration thus is not absolutly perfect. It is in my opinion a very nice truck that you will have a blast with driving and something you can feel proud of taking it to local shows, car cruises, etc.
