Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration and a perfect addition to your collection, is a 1972 Triumph Bonneville T120R with ORIGINAL paint and ORIGINAL 2500 miles. It was last plated in 1982 and stored inside under a bike cover. It wears a glossy original lacquer paint ( glossy but it does have MINOR checking if looked at in the right angle) and has what appears to be the original Dunlop Gold Seal tires (not worn or weather checked). The chrome is nice and shiny and my guesstimate is 8 out of 10. Rims are clean but the right side front shows slight aging. It still has the ORIGINAL cloth wiring which is in nice shape. We recently added the correct British repro handlebars, correct repo mufflers/ brackets, correct repo petcocks and a new battery. The seat pan is original and wears a nice custom embroidered brown naugahyde cover to compliment the original Tiger Gold and White paint. As shown , you will see that the frame is clean but has a few chips. Castings on the motor are clean and NOT polished as most refurbished bikes are. Note the details such as the wire cloth wiring, chrome clips on the handlebars , paint gloss, and specifically the originality. Please note that the frame and motor numbers MATCH. Any parts removed such as the original petcocks , fuel lines and original crimped caps go with the bike. We did get the bike to fire up and run but it does require a tune-up and carbs rebuilt. Also, note that it requires the choke assembly. Reproductions are available from British only and other suppliers but personally I would find a nice original lever and cable assembly. This Triumph is for sale locally and if not sold thru e-bay or local, then we will have it displayed and for sale at the Battle of the Brits in Sept.
