Vehicle Detail

A 1947 Chevrolet Style Master 2-door Business Coupe, which means the vehicle does not have a back seat, but a shelf to hold sample cases for on-the-road salesman back in the day. The drive-train is a 350 x 350 with new brakes all the way around. In June of 2014, new right and left front wheel cylinders were installed along with new rear and front brake shoes and a the master cylinder was rebuilt. A new fuel pump was installed, along with a new in-line fuel filter, the fuel tank was removed and cleaned and all the fuel lines were flushed. The rear differential was serviced and a new cover gasket was installed. The carburetor was rebuilt and the float and air horn gasket changed. I have the receipts for all the work just mentioned. The title is a clean California title in my name. The battery is a Sears Die Hard Gold, which was installed in January of 2009. I have had no battery issues. I have the receipt. The car has dual exhausts. The manifolds are from a 1955 Chevrolet, the radiator is from a 1956 Chevrolet, it has a small pinhole leak at the top, but I am including a NEW aluminum radiator with the car. The interior carpet was installed in May of 2006, still looks great. I have the receipt. The transmission was fully gone thru in December of 2005 and there have been no issues. I have receipt. This vehicle was converted to a 12 volt system, so the electric wipers, lights, stereo, power antenna, etc. all work off of a 12 volt Die Hard battery. The receipts appear to support that the car engine has 50 plus thousand miles on it. and I have receipts going back for years and years. The wheels are rally steel wheels painted maroon. The center caps are from a Corvette, one is missing (front right wheel in photo) the front tires are P215/70R15 and the rear tires are P235/70R15. The engine is a 350 Chevy V8, 4 bolt main, 300 HP with auto trans and rear end from a 1973 Chevelle. The car runs and drives, but drum brakes take getting use to; I would suggest adding a power brake booster. The radiator we all ready covered and if you look at the pictures you'll see that there are transmission cooler lines that connect to it. The front end, I would suggest a Crown Vick or a Mustang II conversion, or rebuild the existing front end with new King Pins and Tie Rod ends, because there's some slop in the steering. Drive it while you restore it, chop it, customize it, rat rod it or whatever, the paint is fair, it looks good, but if you look close you can see some runs in it from being painted years and years ago. Trim is decent. Glass is good with the exception of the passenger door glass which is cracked, but it's flat glass and easy to replace. The column still has the pin for a column selector, so if you want to replace the floor shift, which was the thing to do back-in-the-day. You have a lot to work with here, thank you for looking at my listing and ask questions if you have any. I work a lot, so please don't take it personally if it takes me a couple of days to get back to you. I have lots of traveling to do this month. This car is currently registered in my name, driven by only me, and insured with current license tags until August of 2015. The body appears to be quite solid with a little bubbling at the lower edge of the trunk lid and on the swoop out on the lower drivers door. This car is sold as-is with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. I, of course, reserve the right to end this auction at anytime since it will be advertised locally. I cannot guarantee that the mileage is true and correct and can only go by the listing of the odometer on the receipts. GOOD LUCK, THIS IS GOING TO MAKE SOMEONE A SWEET RIDE!!! Keep the American Dream Alive, by owning a classic car and DRIVING IT!!!
