Vehicle Detail
Ok, Guys,Here's a great opportunity to own a 57 2 door hardtop. This hardtop was put in a garage in 1967 and was to have been fixed up. What you see missing was removed back then. The previous owner lost interest in the car and forgot about it. It saw the light of day for the first time in April, 2014. Please examine the photos; you will see that it needs rockers and quarter panel work. The floors look very solid. The interior may clean up; it is very complete but the front seat does have one rip in it. The body is very straight, the doors close very nicely. The flippers also work perfectly. Windows roll up and down as they should. The car also has the original spiral shocks in the rear. The EZ Eye glass is surprisingly good. It has the original 283 with power glide. I removed the starter and tried to turn the flex plate with a screwdriver. It does not turn. It did have oil and antifreeze in it. I feel this car has tremendous potential. This car has been repainted once, but it doesn't appear to have ever been in an accident. Look at all the body gaps in the pictures; you'll see for yourself that this is a nice original straight car to start with. Although built in Tarrytown, NY, it's not your typical east coast rusted out basket case. You could it make it an awesome hotrod, nice cruiser, or even put a crate motor in it and get it on the road right away. So many possibilities; that's the fun part and totally up to you. Usually these "barn finds" are 4 door, 6 cylinder cars. This one is a classic 57, 2 door hardtop V8. The car obviously has no brakes, it does roll ok. I would not try to tow it, I'd trailer or flatbed it. What you see in the photos is all I have. It is being sold as a project car. I do have a good clear title for the car. Examine, better yet, scrutinize the pictures as they are the best descriptors of the condition of this car. Now for some payment details: a $500 deposit through PayPal within three business days after the auction. Balance due at pickup; cash or check ( check must clear first). Buyer to make all arrangements for pickup. Again, this car is being sold as a project car- no warranty. Thanks for looking at this neat project car. If you have any questions, call me. I will try my best to answer your questions. Jeff201-845-8445
