This is a very clean 1967 F100 Ranger 2-wheel drive. Truck started it's life with a 352 and three on the tree. Previous owner modified the truck to use it for camper hauling duty. A 428 Cobra Jet from a 1969 Torino was installed along with a C6 automatic. The 428CJ was needed for my own 1969 428 4-speed Ford Cobra Fastback. In it's place we installed a new 390 professionally built by Motorwerks of Spokane (have paperwork). This motor was sitting in 1970 Ford F100 which had been a stalled restoration project. The '70 appeared to have a freshly rebuilt C6 behind it's new 390 and I installed this in the '67 as well. I also swapped the original two-barrel intake for an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and topped that with an Edelbrock Performer Series carburetor. New fuel pump also. Headers from the 428CJ were retained. The truck runs, drives, and shifts beautifully and sounds good too. All the glass is excellent. The original owner had a sunroof installed when the truck was brand new (have paperwork for that too) and it does not appear to have ever leaked. Truck features a sliding rear window as well. Body is in great condition, only a couple minor dings, the most noticeable being on the leading edge of the hood. The grille is from a '69 F100, is in relatively good condition with only a couple minor dings and is protected by a chrome grille guard that appears to have been installed years ago. It appears the previous owner had the tailgate stripped and was preparing it to re-install. It is in great condition, however it does need painted and I couldn't locate any trim for it. The rest of the trim on the truck is in great condition. The original turquoise and white two tone paint job is still decent and looks good although it is fading in some spots and there is some crazing on the hood. It has a nice original patina to it and could be shined up as is. The truck was heavily undercoated years ago which preserved it's underside. No rot in bed, floorpans, fenders, etc. Front brakes are in good condition. New master cylinder installed. Rear brakes completely replaced including shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware, self-adjusters, and drums. Truck has manual brakes (drum front and rear) and manual steering. Tires are new 235/70R-15 front and 275/60R-15 rear. Rear tires are new as well (still have nubs) but they are fifteen years old. Previous owner had them stored in his shed and never put them on. Chrome spoke wheels are in great condition. Truck has Ford 9-inch rear end and since it was used for camper duty it was equipped with sway bars front and rear. Interior is clean with excellent dashboard (no cracks) and nice original vinyl bench seat which has just two small spots by the drivers seam where the material has a couple small holes. Truck has original green carpet and previous owner installed a console with cupholders. Interior lighting is functional when doors are opened. Original AM radio still plays! 1967 was the first year for the 67-72 body style and has some unique features not found on the 68-72 such as knobs for heater controls (68 ushered in the sliders) and interior door handles like the '66 model. Overall this is a very clean, solid, dependable truck. It could be enjoyed for years to come as is or touched up here and there and taken to the next level.
