Vehicle Detail
1972 Triumph TR-6 Convertible Project Car. This car is equipped with the overdrive transmission option. The car does run but will need to be towed. This vehicle has not been driven on the road in over twenty years. Known Issues: The engine will probably need to be rebuilt. The number three cylinder has no compression. The clutch should probably be repaired or replaced. The brakes will probably need to be replaced. The suspension should be checked, the car appears to sit low. The tachometer does not work. The speedometer does not work. There are parts of the interior that have worn away from overuse. The door panels close properly, but they seal unevenly and have caused paint wear. Items that have been replaced since we pulled the car out of storage in June: New clutch master cylinder and booster. New radiator and hoses. New battery. New fuel pump and alternator. New fuel tank and sending unit. New brake lines. New brake master cylinder. The head gasket has been replaced. The carburetors have been rebuilt. The plug wires and plugs have been changed. Included parts: Convertible top parts kit. The top will need to be replaced with this kit. The car has been repainted but the paint job appears average and has started to age. We inspected the frame and it appears sound though we did not start "poking it with a screw driver". I personally did "poke" the traveling arms with a screw driver and they appear sound. We ran our fingers under the wheel wells and could not find rust. We also did not find rust in the door jams, battery compartment, tank compartment, or spare tire compartment. The passenger floor pan has surface rust. The driver's side floor pan looks poor. It appears that someone tried to repair it with a compound. There is surface rust on the underside of the vehicle. We would be happy to inspect other spots for areas of concern. Unit Sold as is where is.
