Vehicle Detail
Here is a GMC Yukon for your consideration. It is a 1996 model that has roughly 225854 miles on it. The good: It starts, runs and drives. Everything works except the air conditioner. It makes plenty of horsepower. It still has good oil pressure. In the last year or so that I've had it, it has gotten new brakes (calipers, rotors, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware) a new water pump, a new starter and flywheel and recently got tuned up (spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor). The chrome bumpers still shine and are not rusted through. The big, red GMC on the grill still scares drivers who pull out and go too slow. :) The transmission works flawlessly as does the whole 4 wheel drive system. Unless the snow is up to the roof, you should not get stuck this winter. If it matters, I am the 2nd owner. The bad: All or most of the knobs on the radio have broken and gone away (though one can still operate the controls). This is common. The wide side of the back seat doesn't fold down anymore (the cable is seized and this is also common). The ABS brake light is on. The shop I took it to for the brakes said they didn't have the time right then to diagnose the problem when they fixed the brakes. They work 100% so it wasn't a priority. The check engine light is on, too (more later). It has some rust in all the common places but it's not a real rust bucket. It has some minor dents and scratches here and there. It is, after all, more than 10 model years old so it's not brand new. The driver side seat has a few small holes in it. The other seats are cracked some but have no holes at all. The ugly: It recently failed state inspection. When presented to the repair shop, they put the spark plugs and things in it that I brought for them but it still runs rough. They said they're 99% sure it has a burned valve but did not do a compression or leak down test on it (I don't know why not as I fully expected to pay for it). According to many internet forums, the problem could well be a bad fuel filter (I have one that they also refused to install but will go with the truck), fuel pressure regulator, spark plug wire(s) or fuel injector(s) (according to the shop, the injectors are inside the intake manifold and can't be tested on the truck and once the intake is off, there is no way to test them then, either). If it does have a burned valve, it will probably be easier and cheaper to replace the whole engine. I'll leave what you want to do up to you, though. This truck is also great for parts. This truck can be driven anywhere but is currently burning a LOT of gas (it may have a leak somewhere under the truck, too) so I HIGHLY recommend towing it. The only acceptable form of payment is cash. Please pay for this within 7 days of the listing close. If you need more time to pick it up after that, this is fine but let it go too long (more than 14 days). I have a clear title that is ready to be transferred. If you have questions, please don't wait to ask. There is no warranty at all, expressed or implied. I have described this truck to the best of my ability. Returns are not accepted. If you want to see it, we can make arrangements. Thank you for looking. I hope we can do business together.
