1973 Dodge D100 Adventurer Sport for sale as is. This is a Factory Big Block 400/727 truck. Currently has a freshly rebuilt 1975 block 440. Internal the 440 has flat top pistons with a 485 lift hyd flat tappet cam, has 906 heads and edelbrock aluminium intake. The transmission is a built 727 with all new heavy duty red clutches and a tci automatic valve body and a new 2500 stall Hughes convertor, and new flex plate. The carb is a quick fuel 780 vac secondary that works well. The engine and transmission have less than 500 miles on break in. I have only drove it around locally no long hauls. It has lots of torque and I'd guess well over 400 horsepower. It has several other new parts that I have added to the truck. I replaced the factory linkage with the after market "LOKAR" kickdown transmission cable and the throttle cable as well. It looks nice on the engine. New mini starter works well. New billet distributor. New vacumn hoses , plugs,wires, header gaskets, etc. New power brake booster, so the 440 would fit. The extra bonus to this truck is it has its original #'s 400 engine that comes with it. The engine had a fresh overhaul on it. Drove less than 200 miles and a lobe on the cam went down. So pulled the engine and matching # 727 out to put in the built 440 /727 in this truck to keep as a driver. So if someone buys this truck they will get 2 bb mopar engines and transmissions plus a really nice truck to boot. This is a factory A/C truck as well and everything is there to hook it up just have not done it yet. If I do the price will go up. In 1973 this was the top of the Dodge line up for a pickup. The rear-end is the 8 and 3/4 with I think the stock gears which are 3:23, the rear-end works good and correct but does have slack you can feel and hear when it is downshifting to a stop it makes a clank noise. I checked the u-joints and they are good. I have a lot of documentation on this truck from the previous owner and also have the original build sheet in a binder with more information on the truck. This is a great deal on this D100. I also added 2 new pictures of where a tree branch had landed on part of the body I had forgot to include those on the previous status. This is my first time to advertise on EBAY. I want you to see the few flaws the truck has as well though so you can make a judgement call for yourself. They are both easy fixes along with the clear coat that is peeling off on the hood. In the past week I have had to also buy 2 new valve cover gaskets due to the rear of the ones on it started leaking again. This is my third set and there are the cork ones instead of the rubber ones. Not a big leak but its a leak overnight maybe the size of a half a dollar. This is an easy fix as well but the truck is drive-able the way it is.
