This 1957 Ford was parked under a sheltered carport for over thirty years in Mattoon, IL. The rear floor pans had to be replaced with new panels welded in, but that is all of the rust that can be found on this car, even above the headlights and rear wheel lips are rust free and no bondo anywhere. This car is all original. Only reason I'm selling is, I was going down to having only one car when last week, I found a car that I had in high school in 1963-4 and have been looking for one since the eighty's . I bought it on the condition that I would sell these last two. I've also got the Edsel listed today (last picture). This car has been driven up to Mowequa, Il a bunch of times (60 miles each way) and cruises perfect, actually gets pretty good mileage with the small V8 and stick shift . It is a blast to drive and I would feel confident to drive it anywhere. This Ford always starts on any day, does not burn any oil , drives great, and stops. I drive this car a couple of times each month and have owned since 2011. The body is very tight, finger pressure is all that is required to close the doors. Anything that needed replacing I have done with new items: New seat belts, new battery, cables, brake parts, exhaust, waterpump, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, water heater core, blower motor, and all hoses and belt, spotlights, mirrors, new head liner, new gray windless trim, and gray carpeting full set not installed.oil and gas filters, gas tank and radiator cleaned and carb rebuilt all original parts are present and numerious spare parts go with it. I had the original rims blasted and powder-coated roman red and have a new full set of hubcaps from fomoco also. The tires on the car are Firestone's with the wide white walls , great tread, balanced perfect. I'll get a picture later of all of the parts and there is many items, I just can't remember now. I had it scheduled for the headliner installation next week, but cancelled the apointment when I purchased my high school car last week.
