Vehicle Detail

This car belongs to a friend of mine so if you have questions, please ask in plenty of time for me to contact him and then get back to you. He bought this car with the intention of running it at the Newport, Indiana hill climb. When he got the car, it ran very good so he parked it in the pole barn (concrete floor) and decided he would get around to making it a hill climber ASAP. Other vehicles came and went and he never got time to do anything to this Plymouth. He has finally decided he's not going to get around to this car and wants to sell it. If you have ever been around this guy, you know he doesn't buy junk and this car is no different. It has VERY little rust on it. I took lots of pictures so you can see for yourself. The motor ran great. They let it set at an idle for over an hour before they "put it away" and it never overheated (more on this later) and it had good oil pressure when warmed up. You should be able to see in the pictures that the car has either a new or rebuilt radiator in it (worth somewhere between $300-$500. At the time of this writing, the car will turn over but is not running. Don may have time to tinker with it some to see if he can get it running but with his schedule it may not happen. It does roll and can be loaded on a trailer. The floors look good, there does seem to be a patch panel in the trunk area that I took a picture of but the trunk lip and the trunk lid are both in good shape. If you have been around these cars those two areas always seem to be rusted but they look real good on this car. It has a clear Wisconsin paper. The wheels still have the pin striping on them. It is pretty complete but may be missing some items that we are not aware of. You are welcome to come and look at the car before you bid, in fact we would love for you to. We have bought things on the internet and in our "mind's eye" we think they are always going to be better than they are when we finally see them. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this car, but it's always best to see it first if you can. Right after the auction is over, Don and I will probably be going to the MOPAR Nationals in Columbus (I have a 41 Dodge that I want to take there) and then he will be gone for about a week after that. This means picking up the vehicle will probably have to be a couple of weeks after the auction is over. That should give you enough time to make arrangements to haul it or ship it. Thanks for looking. A couple of other things, the vin number listed isn't the actual number, AND if you use the Buy it now we will deliver this car to the MOPAR Nationals on August 7th or 8th.On Jul-30-14 at 15:44:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Some other things: The car appears to have twin heaters in it. Maybe coming from Wisconsin, they needed them. And the turn signal actuator is really neat, I've never seen one like it before. Thanks again
