Vehicle Detail

1984 Subaru Brat 4WD, 4-speed, 1.8 4 cylinder, 214 K Very RARE Air Conditioning Dash is NOT cracked Inside is VERY nice with Leather Seats (INSIDE LOOKS NEW!!!!) Rear Bed Jump Seats and Headrests Roll Bar Rhino Sprayed Bed Liner Dark Tinted Windows (but legal)T-topsSliding Rear Window I am an old handicapped woman (lol), and I don’t work on cars. Therefore, I have had to pay a Subaru mechanic, which is about 40 minutes away, to do everything to this Brat. And I can no longer drive the Brat because I have severe arthritis, so I bought an Automatic Subaru Baja and must sell this one. There has been a LOT of money, tons and tons of parts and a lot time put into this Brat. Check the oil?—oil looks like a new car! Everything works. There are parts that I have that have not been installed yet. Those parts include: wheel well guards (plastic), skid plate--engine guard/protector (metal), and the front brush guard. I have the 4WD switch that goes under the handle that makes the dash light up when it is in 4WD that has not been installed. The switch and light work, but the switch needs to be put in. I have a small piece of chrome that goes at the corner of the windshield that is not installed yet. Roll bar is in it, but not bolted in yet. The rear seats have not been bolted to the bracket yet. I bought an original radio and dash surround and console piece that has all been installed but the radio is not hooked up yet. The carburetor needs a piece that goes on the side of it (I I don’t know what it is called-maybe something to do with the automatic choke?). It starts fine in the summer, but needs this part for cold weather starting. I found the part, but have not taken it to get it installed yet. It also idles high because of this. The fog lights are not hooked up yet either. It has a bolt missing in the passenger seat and the seat wobbles because of that. The rear bumper is pushed in on one side (see pic). Was told this is easy to pull out. There are a couple of places in the drivers seat that are starting to wear a little (see pic) I have always kept the Brat covered, but it does have hail pings in it from sitting outside. I have since moved it inside. This is not a $12,000 Brat. It is not a show car. It can use some body work. Someone that knows how to do that can make this Brat a show car. There is one rust spot in the driver’s rocker panel about the size of a silver dollar. And there is a thin metal piece that runs under the back bumper that has rust in it. I have been told they all have this problem. EVERY time I take this Brat somewhere, everyone wants it!! It is a real head turner. I always get honked at and a thumbs up while driving down the road. It is a fun truck to own. I haven’t really driven it since last year when I got my Baja. I drive it down the road every few weeks just to run it. Battery is starting to get weak. Potential buyers are welcome to come over and check it out. I do not have insurance on it currently and not wild about someone taking off in it, so no joy rides. Your insurance will not cover what this Brat is worth. Hagerty's Classic Car Insurance will cover the Brat for a value of ($12,000) for about $300 a year (with an excellent driving record). State Farm will not cover it for it's classic/antique value, nor will your regular vehicle insurance.
