NO RESERVE, 1981 Bandit Edition Pontiac Trans Am SE with T-tops and a strong 400 cu. in. engine. This car was loaded from the factory with all of the options, including the Y84 handling package, including heavier sway bars and all four wheel disc brakes, gold graphics, gold turbine alloy wheels and gold dash inlays. The brakes were completely rebuilt prior to my purchasing the car. I have both the Turbo and Shaker hoods for the car, but do not have the scoop. I do have access to a turbo 301, complete with trans by a private party, here in IL. I wanted much more horsepower and went with a very strong rebuilt 400 cu. inch v8 from a 1974 Trans Am hooked to a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The car runs very strong forward and yard drives and stops, posi-trac works great. No exhaust system from the manifolds back. Transmission linkage is not totally hooked up as of today (7/18), but will try to have hooked-up by end of auction (no guarantees). New parts include: Interstate Battery(HD), battery cables, fuel lines / filter, HEI cap/rotor, anti-freeze and oils and filters, also has an Edlebrock carb and single plane intake. One of the best firebird bodies, especially with T-tops that I have seen in a long time, I looked for years to find one like this , finally found it and am now reducing my cars so I can have more time for my absolute favorites and other interests. We replaced the front floor boards (welded in new panels) as the old ones were just starting to bubble up and the only rust I have seen on the body is just behind the passenger door, approximately 1" by the the rocker panel / rubber flair location., all wheel quarters are great, can't see where they ever replaced or any bondo. All windows are good, driver's window is off of the track, but is good. Small dent on bottom edge of driver's door, repairable. Prior owner started sanding and placing primer on the passenger side, but I can not see any damage or bondo repair, just getting it ready for a repaint, but a divorce halted his progress. Car was stored over 20 years by prior owner. Sold to the USA only and bidders with less than 5 positive feedback MUST call me for approval as I will remove the bid with out any contact. If you know your cars, you will not be disappointed and all of the money you put into this car will be returned if you ever need to sell it. This body is almost rust free, top to bottom, the wheel well lips are perfect and rear frame cross-member as well as the lower front fenders where most of these like to rust.
