Terms & Conditions Deposit: a 500 dollar non refundable deposit must be paid by paypal or wire transfer within 24 hours of auction end. Items will not be available for pickup or shipping until full payment is received and cleared by our local bank. Buyer has 7 days to pay in full either by bank wire transfer, mailing check, or cash in person. Customer has 30 days from end of sale to pick up or make arrangments with me to have the vehicle stored. All items are sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind unless specified in the ad. We reserve the right to remove any listing due to on site sales. We also require that bidders internationally or with feedback score of zero contact us.Fee and Tax Information: Customer pays sales tax and registration in the state they are from, we do not collect it. The deposit is non refundable, by backing out of the deal, you willingly forfeit the deposit. I bought this 49 Studebaker in a Package of cars from a estate sale last fall. It is not the kind of car I collect so I am offering it for sale to a new buyer. The car was parked since 1990 when the previous owner was using it as a daily driver. I had our mechanic tune it up, put new brake cylinders and shoes on the rear, bled the brakes, etc. You can now turn the key on, hit the starter button, and this car starts right up and runs great with no knocks or misses. We had him take the car on a three mile test drive and he had it up to 50 mph. The studebaker drove true with no abnormal play in the steering and it shifted and stopped the way it should. He told me that the gas tank should be cleaned (he ran it off a aux tank). The Three speed on the column linkage is missing the shift linkage cover and also should be replaced (junk yard found item) The heater and lights were working. The cap on the master cylinder should be replaced (junk yard item) This is a true survivor barn find that needs restoration. It can be driven the way it is as a daily driver type car with the linkage cover replaced and other tweaking (gas tank etc) The frame looks solid but there was some rust in the trunk pans, rockers, and floor pans (pictured) the Interior is original and is worn (see pictures) The paint looks mostly original as far as I can tell. The doors open and shut and the windows go up and down but the regulators need lubing. The trunk opens and shuts and the car comes with the original keys or the trunk and igniton. The hood latch and hood open and shut. The overdrive is working but the cable needs lubing /replacing (sticky) The glass has some cracks (pictured) It has a RARE and original dealer topper ,above the trunk latch ,still on the car from when it was purchased new. It has three original hubcaps and is missing one. I have tried to picture any cosmetic blemishes/rust spots/etc. The side vents open and shut. This car comes with a clean and clear title ready for you to register. When we got this car home after the mechanic, We drove it for about 3 miles ourselves for the video and I was very impressed by how fun it was to drive and by how well overall the car drove. I do not want to overcall this studebaker or undercall it as it is a unrestored, running and driving BARN FIND that is 65 years old, Let the pictures, video, and description tell the story. Customer pays sales tax and registration in the state they are from, we do not collect it. The deposit is non refundable, by backing out of the deal, you willingly forfeit the deposit. If no contact is made within 24 hours, we reserve the right to relist the vehicle, sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise. please remember you are bidding on a used vehicle and must understand that there will be normal wear and tear on the vehicle. We do our best to show you every fault we can find but somethings things may go unseen to us.
