Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 2000 Honda Civic SI. This is going to be a very long read, so bear with me. First and foremost, this is an AS-IS listing. 100%, no exceptions. I try to be as completely honest as I can be when listing things. I point out any imperfections that I find, almost to a fault. I purchased this car in roughly 2002 from a salvage yard, it had been stolen and stripped of the motor, airbags, exhaust, and wheels. Other minor things were taken as well. When I received the car, it looks as if it were either stolen directly from the dealer, or shortly thereafter. When I received it, it still had plastic on the floors and seats. I replaced most of what had been stolen. I purchased an engine that had 30,000 miles on it. I purchased an airbag for the passenger side, but it is not hooked up at this time. I instead wanted a JDM MOMO steering wheel which did not come with an airbag as an option, so the bags are not hooked up. If you want them, you'll need to change out the driver's steering wheel and buy an airbag computer. This car has roughly 3500 miles on it from my driving. That's right, three thousand, five hundred. That's not a typo. When I received it, it said roughly 6000 miles on the odometer. This was my second car, and was only driven in the summer, on warm Friday or Saturday nights. It was never driven in snow, or even rain. There is not a spot of rust on this car, and I'd bet the underbody has little to none as well. After just a couple of years of owning it, some bad things happened in life, and I lost interest. I put it in storage, and it has never seen a road in a decade. It has not even been registered in 8 years. (Yes, I just re-registered it, so it is road-worthy once again). It has not been driven in more than 10 years, but it has been started and moved a few times a year to keep oil circulating. I will list to the best of my memory the modifications that were done to the car. It's been so long, I don't remember a lot of it. HOWEVER, somewhere in my house I have binders full of receipts. I have invested roughly 25,000 dollars into this car back in it's more expensive heyday. I will be listing the car at ONE PENNY, and whatever bids come in after that are your acknowledgement that you believe it is worth what you bid. It's been in my garage for almost 15 years, and I just want the space back, even if it means losing a great deal of money from my original investment. The bad: It's got a salvage title from the theft. Even though this thing has hardly any miles on it, the salvage yard in Illinois that I purchased it from branded the title with something like 170,000 miles or something like that ( I haven't looked at the title in years). So, once transferred, the mileage on the title will probably say TMU, as I plan to put the correct mileage on the back of the title. If you're still interested, please continue to read. The color is Prowler Orange. It is an OEM color from Plymouth, and is self explanatory; It was from the Plymouth Prowler The front bumper is a modified Veilside bumper made to fit the 2 door civic. You cannot see it in the pictures, but there IS a hairline crack on the mouth area of the front bumper. It's not from running into anything, the paint is still in place as it should be, I don't know when exactly the crack formed, but it is there. There are also a couple of small rock chips in the front end. Unfortunately, that's what happens with fiberglass. The hood is also fiberglass, and has at least 1 rock chip in it as well. Fenders: The fenders are metal, NOT fiberglass. There is no damage to the windshield or side glass, although I've noticed that there are a couple bubbles that have formed in some of the tint. The sunroof operates as it should The side skirts are Wings West and are polyurethane, NOT fiberglass The rear bumper is fiberglass, and I think it also has a rock chip or two if I remember correctly The wing is Wings West and is polyurethane as well I believe the tail lights are a brand called TLC if I remember correctly The exhaust is a cat-back system from Megan The wheels are Konig Theory rims 17x7 in size with Falken tires- I expect the tires are good; they are not dry rotted or anything, but they've had a total of about 2000 miles on them in more than a decade. Interior: There is little to no wear in the interior. Even the driver's side kick panel has maybe a couple of scratches in it. The seats are not worn at all. The rear seats have never even been sat in. The dash panel has no visible wear, the doorpads are in great shape, etc etc. The steering wheel is out of a JDM DC5 (I believe) Integra. It does not have an airbag. If you want one, you'll have to change the steering wheel back to OEM. The cruise control was moved under the dash to just below the steering. I never drove the car far enough to ever need it. Also, the horn is not hooked up. The center dash console was stolen originally. I replaced it with a new one and had it painted to match the exterior of the car. HOWEVER, on the right had side of the dash, the thieves pried the old one out, leaving the dash damaged. I never had it repaired. You can see it in one of the included pictures. The gauge cluster area was painted to match the exterior I installed a 3 gauge pod on the left side driver's pillar; There's a boost gauge, water temp, and oil temp if I remember correctly. The boost gauge is hooked up and works as it should. The other 2 have the electrical hooked up for the lights, so they do light up; They are no longer hooked up in the engine compartment. The wiring is still there, but I had the motor removed at one point (I'll get to that in the motor section) and I never hooked the other 2 gauges back up since they were technically pointless. There is a huge MAC tools monster tach on the dash There is a crazy Minidisc/CD player installed. I have only seen this double din a couple of other times. I had to special order it from Japan back when it came out. You can match the colors of the player to your car or anything else you want. The colors are fully adjustable. There is a Blitz Boost Controller. Again, the wiring and vacuum are run into the engine compartment, but I don't think I hooked it back up after the engine build. It may be, or maybe not. It's been too long to remember. Not much wear anywhere else in the car. In some of the pictures you can see that the ECU cover is removed, it's in the car, I just have 2 ECU's. The original that came with the car and the P28? (I can't remember exactly if that's the right one) The P28 can be chipped with any chip you like. The one that is in it is set to factory, but is removable. It is not soldered in. The OEM computer is also included. In the trunk is a ZEX nitrous system. It is all hookup up and ready to run, but it has never been filled and has never been used. It has also been painted to match the car. The ZEX controller under the hood is hooked up. The on/off switch and the purge control are in the center console next to the emergency brake. Engine: The motor is the 1.6L Vtec B series engine It has less than 30 miles on it since Sperry Engines did the build for me. In the midst of storage, I had the motor removed thinking that I would build the car and drive it again. This was about 6 years ago or so. The motor after the build has about 30 miles on it so far. I've just been driving it back and forth to work to make sure it runs properly before it sells on ebay. I took it to a speed shop here in town called Sperry Engines; If you want to know what was done to it, that is the place to ask. Here is what I can remember: It has a turbo system, obviously. It is a T03/T04E turbo ( if I remember correctly). It has about 500 miles on it. It has a turbonetics blowoff valve. It has a Moroso oil pan and pickup installed. It does not have A/C anymore to fit the turbo system. If you want the A/C back you'll have to get a log style manifold and reinstall the A/C. The valve cover is a genuine JDM OEM Honda Red Top The block has low compression Wiseco (If I remember correctly) turbo pistons, rods, and rings installed. I can't remember if they are Wiseco, but they are a big name brand, I did not spare any expense on my motor. I just can't remember which brand of pistons, rods, and rings are in there. Sperry's would probably have a record and could tell the new owner. Fidanza stage 3 clutch and Flywheel Crank balanced and knife edged Head has Turbo Cams. I left the stock springs and valves as I was told they are good up to about 400 HP. They were adjusted at the time of the engine build Brand new Interstate battery this year I'm sure there is a ton I am forgetting, it's just been too long since I've driven the car. If you have any questions, please ask, and I'll update the listing for folks. This car WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER, no exceptions. If someone really wants it, make me an offer, I'd rather have cash in hand than a non-paying bidder. It's time for someone else to enjoy it. Just know that the only guarantee you have is that when you come to get the car and turn the key, it starts, and it drives onto your trailer. The car has less than 10,000 miles on it, the engine has less than 50 miles on it. You need to break in the motor before you're hard on it. I will not be responsible for anything once you leave my driveway. You are buying the car 100% AS-IS. It's a very nice car, but it is 14 years old. It's probably the nicest body on a civic left on the planet, but it's still sat for over a decade. I think there might be one door ding on the entire body. But again, this sale is As-Is, no exceptions. SHIPPING: Must be arranged by the buyer. You can pick it up in person if you like, otherwise you will need to arrange shipping. I can help load it. But I cannot arrange the shipping for you. DEPOSIT: A non-refundable 500 dollar deposit must be in my account within 24 hours, no exceptions. I FORGOT TO ADD IT EARLIER. IN THE VIDEO THE CENTER CAPS ARE NOT ON THE CAR BECAUSE I WAS CLEANING THEM AND FORGOT TO PUT THEM BACK ON. THEY ARE ON THE CAR NOW.
