Up for sale this gorgeous fully restored 1959 Cadillac Series 62 convertible. This rare Caddy originated from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In 2004 it benefited from a body-off restoration from one of North America's leading Cadillac restoration facilities, Classic Caddies in Ontario, Canada. Frame off restoration, chassis sandblasted and painted Any signs of rust replaced with new metal, primed and painted All brake and fuel lines replaced New suspension, gas tank coated and painted Front end and brake components all replaced Front disc brakes added All new leather and carpets Painted using base coat and three coats of clear, wet sanded and polished Chrome replated Engine, transmission and all driveline rebuilt Modern high-output air conditioning All new side glass and fully rebuilt power window motors New white convertible top Front grills polished New 3 inch wide white wall radial tires This Cadillac has power windows, power seats, non-original air conditioning, power steering, brakes and conversion to front disc brakes. It also has the Cadillac Autonic-Eye for automatic headlight dimming. No single automotive design better characterizes the industrys late-1950s flamboyance than the 1959 Cadillac, which incorporated totally new styling and those FINS! The 59 Cadillac incorporated special one year only and one model only, side trim panels and moldings that set it apart from any other car on the road and it looks Fabulous! It has a couple of small scratches and dents that can easily be repaired to bring it to top condition. The restoration, completed in 2004, was to car show and touring quality. It was not meant for competitive concours settings. But it is truly stunning! The speedometer is presently not operational and the odometer presently reads 55,471 miles, however we have no documentation regarding its accuracy. The air conditioning is fantastic and blow very cold. All the windows and other accessories operate well. As with all Series 62s, this motorcar is complete with a 390 cu in (6.4 liter) V-8 with 325 h.p. This is almost as good as it gets. And with only about 11,000 examples produced this is a rare and gorgeous motorcar. 50s and 60s Cadillacs are some of the fastest appreciating and most desirable collector cars in the market today and the 1959 Cadillac with its distinctive and flamboyant fins is generally considered to be the Best of the Best!
