Vehicle Detail
Stunning 1972 Porsche 911 T RS Look I am delighted to present to you this stunning 1972 Porsche 911 T-RS Conversion. A recently restored non-sunroof original California Rust Free example with completely rebuilt engine, low hours 3.0 SCwith no more than 2500 miles since top and bottom. This Porsche is for the enthusiast looking for the perfect early sport 911, and can still be trimmed with external cosmetics / graphics in any color combination. The car has a perfectly balanced suspension, dampened by correct Bilsteins, Carrera sway bars, and rebuilt wheel/hub assemblies. I have owned 5 early 911’s and this T is by far the most pleasant handling, light with medium stiffness, corner balanced, with factory RS set Camber and Toe I’ve driven. It has SC front disc brakes and calipers, with early 911 S rear calipers…stops very well with no fade. It is a spartan Porsche that corners superbly and has secure balance. Hard to explain, just pure early Porsche. This car can confidently be brought to the next concept level, or kept and enjoyed as a pure vintage super car. EngineThe 3.0 SC motor was recently rebuilt, in a meticulous fashion with experienced consult throughout the Vintage 911 world. The heads were completely reworked with 3 angle grind and new valves as needed. Standard crank was retained, and new factory piston rods and bearings. The engine was broken in, and actually continues to strengthen with increased mileage. Care was taken to obtain a close to new set of PMO carbs, which tuned easily, and now feed the versatile 3.0. The power is consistent and the engine pulls evenly, until the cam comes on at 4500. Extremely smooth and spry for the standard compression ratio of 8.5:1. Although never dyno tested for BHP, the headers and custom sport exhaust with the PMO 40mm’s should boost the overall power by 20-25 BHP.The rebuild was performed at an experienced auto restorer, experienced in the restoration and maintenance of the finest collectible vintage cars. Please see photo bucket photographic documentation of this rebuild at the following link: http://s1244.photobucket.com/user/mohammedkamal3/library/Porsche%201972%20RS?sort=3&page=1 TransmissionThe gear box is a tight and smooth 915, which shifts through a short throw shift kit. It is in perfect condition, always serviced with Swepco gear oil, with clutch disc in minimal wear condition. It is equipped with a sachs performance clutch. InteriorThe interior is a custom cut and fit Porsche style RS interior with lightweight door panels and radio delete, front panel. The car will come with matching Momo race buckets as in the passenger seat, and the Recarro R seat on sliders available at purchase for premium. The Momo Prototipo is earlier vintage at least 25 years old, and finishes the cockpit. The carpets are perfect and custom fit with a perfect finish look. We have a comprehensive file of receipts and parts invoices, most of you know the cost of a 911 SC rebuild is generally high, so please understand no expense was spared in the rebuild. Please call with any questions, I can give a detailed description and enjoy doing so. This rare 1972 911 may be the next Porsche cult desire car, will definitely appreciate in value and is/was a truly rust free tub selected especially for this conversion. While still a lightweight Spartan model, the car will surely not disappoint – it is a true drivers car in near new mechanical driving condition. The car is available for sale locally, as such we reserve the right to end the sale anytime. Good luck, and thanks for checking out this rare and well sorted machine, Bob 702 275 5862
