1990 Geo Metro, not running with burnt valves a $500 repair. Served me well. New tires + 2 full size spares, (a $500 value) new AC unit (a $125 value). Lots of old car tricks to drive but it could run well with a valve job and perhaps a new windshield. Was getting 45 MPG when parked. No transmission issues when parked.
