Here is a 1973 Triumph GT6 Mk3. This is another Webb Motors barn find.. It does run, is offered for restoration. We put a battery in the car, squirted gas in the carburetors, and it fired up, had over 60 pounds of oil pressure, did not knock or make any unusual noises. Obviously, the buyer will need to go through the gas tank, fuel system, brake and clutch hydraulics, electrical, etc., etc. This is a very solid car, a few rust spots on the driver's rocker panel, a small ding in the front of the hood, shown in the pictures. Floors are solid, a little surface rust on driver's side. Interior is all there, but would need to be redone for a good appearance. Car has a very rare set of factory competition headers (remember the old "V-number" items?). 1973 was the last year for the GT6, the '73 cars went back to the swing spring in the rear (no rotoflex), had self-adjusting rear brakes, and came with power brakes (the notoriously bad booster has been removed on this car, bracket is still there). The odometer shows 7,555 miles, but our Virginia title shows 107,200. Obviously the car was only driven a few hundred miles by the last owner, and was stored in a dry building for over 20 years. This car represents an excellent restoration opportunity for some lucky bidder. There is no buy it now price, please bid if you are interested.
