For your consideration is this 1973 Mercedes Benz 450SL roadster. This car is in fine running condition. we just replaced the distributer cap and ignition rotor as well as reset the fuel mixture. It was traded in to us for a newer Mercedes and it had been the customers daily driver for over 30 years. That being said the odometer reads 230,605 miles. This is a wonderful candidate for a restoration as the body and frame is very solid. The paint measures from a low of 4.5 mills to high of 24 mills however we can NOT detect any body filler. The current paint has some cracks and chips. The paint on the passenger side door molding has a large chip taken out of it. The exhaust, tires and brakes are in good condition and the car currently has a Pennsylvania state inspection sticker that expires in July of 2014. Also included is the original spare tire and jack. The interior shows nice patina of a 41 year old car. The interior is all original with the exception of the aftermarket Alpine AM/FM cassette player and speakers. Someone replaced the original 450SL badge with a 380SL badge....... not sure why. Mercedes Benz did not offer a 380SL in 1973. The chassis number stamped under the hood reads 107.044.
