This has always been a dry climate vehicle and it shows. The undercarriage is also in excellent condition, displaying the original flooring and subframe assembly. The engine compartment displays the original 350 CI 4bbl. V8 special ordered in the Z/28 package. This would be the final year of the solid lifter engine in any Chevrolet, watered down with the new emissions standards of the era. The engine compartment displays correct components throughout. The special Holley 780 carburetor is in place along with the factory aluminum intake manifold. The California emissions system was usually the 1st thing that got removed from these cars. This example retains full emissions for collector quality. Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support. The original trim identification plate is also in place on the cowl. This is an interesting car, ordered without power steering or air conditioning. This is a true California car, ordered especially to cruise the west coast in the 70's. There are many additional engine compartment photographs further below.
