Here is a 1980 Triumph TR8. It has been extensively modified to suit the taste of the owner. It is red with red interior, cloth seats, stayfast convertible top--all red. An absolutely rust-free body. Original 3500 engine was replaced with a Rimmer Brothers 4.6 liter high performance engine. (This means it has a cross bolted large journal block, top-hat style cylinder liners, large journal crankshaft, forged pistons, and fully ported big valve cylinder heads). This engine is topped off with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. It has Rimmer Brothers stainless steel headers and dual exhaust. It has a Rimmer Bros. uprated self-centering clutch with a lightened steel flywheel. It has a Rimmer Bros. uprated heavy duty 5 speed gearbox. Suspension includes GAZ on-car adjustable front and rear shocks, uprated one-inch lower road springs, and full set of polyurethane subframe and suspension bushings. Also uprated front brakes consisting of vented rotors, 4 piston calipers and EBC green stuff front brake pads. It has 14 inch wheels (required for big brakes) and braided brake hoses. Car has power steering, air conditioning, AM-FM Triumph factory radio. Everything works on the car, comes with a fresh Virginia inspection sticker. The 4218 mileage is since the restoration, speedo was changed at that time. Needless to say, this car is quite a performance machine compared to the stock TR8 (which was no slouch itself). Yet it is still tractable in traffic and normal driving conditions. The car is for sale locally and the auction is subject to end early. Please call with any questions.
