THIS IS THE VERY RARE JEEP J10 10-4 "GOOD BUDDY" PACKAGE. VERY HARD TO FIND THESE ANYMORE! It was only made for two years, 1978 and 1979. The paint color is also rare, as these Jeeps were only supposed to come in dark brown or orange, but this one was ordered in Alpaca Brown (looks like bronze). I bought this from the original owner who had it in the mountains of Montana on their ranch. This truck is in good condition, considering it is 35 years old! It is all original except for the tires. The floor boards are rusty, due to a leaking door gasket, and should be replaced. The box has two small rust seams, in rear of box, typical of AMC Jeep boxes. Other than that, very solid truck. All original drive train, 360 two-barrel, 400 turbo quadra trac. It runs and drives great. Has RARE LEVI STRAUSS INTERIOR. Needs seat reupholstered. Needs front brake pads. I replaced all hoses, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets. Transmission was serviced, new gaskets, filter, fluid. It has a brand new MTS gas tank with new sending unit (assembled at MTS factory). In the photo, it looks like the gas hose is hanging down because I didn't put the gas filler bezel on yet since the black line coming from underneath is the vent tube that needs to be connected. I was going to finish this when I checked into why the fuel gauge doesn't work, but didn't get to it. All gauges work except for fuel gauge (might be a loose wire). The tires are brand new Goodyear Authority 31x10.50x15 LT, have exactly 3 miles on them. This truck did come with an AMC CB radio. It does come with vehicle. This would be a great vehicle for any AMC Jeep collector, as it is quite rare. (Not sure of the actual mileage.)Buyer will need to come pick up the truck at their own expense.
