Vehicle Detail
I purchased this truck in 2009 and got 4 great years out of it. Always maintained it well. I still have many of the service records from oil changes and repairs. This truck can be repaired or stripped down and sold for parts. You could make a lot of money parting it out. I would do it myself but my neighbors will never allow me to have a car on cinder blocks in the driveway with missing fenders. There are 4 new tires (less than 6 months old) and a 2 year old battery. The body is in very good condition with no dents. Maybe a ding or two but no dents. The hood has a very slight dent resulting from a bed frame that slid down the front of the windshield onto the hood after stopping a little too abruptly. It slid right over the hood and into the street. Truck has not been in any accidents, however, it suffers from the known Ford Paint problem where Ford used the wrong primer or paint on aluminum body parts (used to make the vehicle lighter). They will not admit it or honor it, even if the car is new under warranty, but thousands and thousands have the issue. The flex pipe came loose in the snow back in February, so it is loud. Before those two things happened, it ran great and was reliable as can be. Four wheel drive got me through a bad winter here on Long Island. A/C and Heat work great. The steering column locks sometimes and you just need to push down on the white plastic piece on the column to get it out of park. It happens occasionally and can go for 6 months working fine. Then, for no reason, it locks for a few weeks and the works again. I have a clean title with no lienholders on it in my possession. You have two choices here. The choice is yours. Personally, I feel the truck is worth far more for its parts than as a whole, unless you are a transmission guy who could pay $600 for a used tranny and pay no labor charges.
