Vehicle Detail
This 1972 Honda CB500 has been sitting in a garage since 1994 (yup, 20 years ago). The engine is free (turns over well with kick starter), shifts (stationary) through all the gears and is a complete, unmolested, honest survivor of the 1970's. There is NO title with this bike. I will give the winning bidder a clean Bill of Sale for you to fight with your individual state's DMV to get a title for it. Good luck with that. (Carburetors are off the bike. They appear complete except for the little screws that hold the float covers on. What's up with that?!? That's how I got them. They will need to be completely rebuilt anyway). (No mufflers). I won't blow smoke up your tailpipe; this bike will need a COMPLETE restoration before it is ready to turn heads and bring "thumbs up" from people where ever you ride it. Look at all the pictures, ask lots of questions and bid accordingly. If you have 25 or fewer positive feedbacks in your eBay account contact me BEFORE you bid or I will cancel your bids. This isn't a game. This is a no-reserve auction and if you are high bidder when the dust settles; you bought yourself a bike. Payment is to be USPS Money Order or Cashier's Check and I need to receive full payment within 7 (seven) calendar days of the end of auction. That means you have to hustle down to the post office the day after the auction and pay for it. I'll store it for you for 10 days (including two weekends) from the end of the auction. Plenty of time for you to pick it up or arrange someone else to do it. I've got a whole bunch more pictures of the bike and will send them to anyone interested if you provide me with an email address I can attach them to. I will answer any questions you send promptly and honestly. Look at my feedback. I treat people the way I want to be treated. That's how it's supposed to work. On Jun-09-14 at 18:06:09 PDT, seller added the following information: People: Read the auction description. If you plan to bid, email (eBay message service) me and let me know you are serious if you have 25 or fewer positive feedbacks with eBay. My first two bidders have been very cooperative with this request. (Thanks) It's a simple request. (I've been burned and talked with others who have been burned too many times by people new to eBay or people just messing around). Thank you for this consideration. On Jun-10-14 at 05:34:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a helpful eBayer point out that this bike is a 1971 and not a 1972. The V.I.N. plate on the front fork shows "7/71" and I know from past bikes I've owned that they push some of the later ones into the next model year but I don't know what month they start doing that. As mentioned, there is no title so I can't glean any information from that. Anyway, it shows a July, 1971 build date and you can take it from there!
