STUNNING PEARL WHITE 1986 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE INDY PACE CAR EDITION"AT NO RESERVE" Ok folks, here we have another offering from my customer who I sold his 1990 Corvette Convertible on ebay a couple of months ago and this one is even nicer. He purchased the Pace Car about a year ago from a buddy locally who had owned the car since 2005 and both have maintained the car to very high standards. The car has been garage kept and is 100% rust free. It has not seen rain, snow or salt during the ownership of the last two owners. The car is factory stock except for the pearl white repaint, slotted rotors and ZR wheels. My test drive was a pure pleasure and if I were in the market for a C4 this would be the one for me. The 5.7 small block fired right up and idled smooth with no funny noises, taps or ticks. There are no leaks and the motor is clean from top to bottom. The oil and filter has been recently changed and Mobil 1 full synthetic was used as with every oil change done by the previous 2 owners. The trans shifted in to all gears at the proper shift points and also has been recently serviced with new filter and fluid. The driveline was smooth with no u-joint or rear end noises. The car drove strait and true with no shakes, shimmies or wandering and when it came to slow her down the brakes worked great due in part to the aftermarket slotted rotors on all four corners and almost new brake pads. The Z rated tires were quite going down the road and have better than 75% tread with no dry rot or cracking. The exterior pearl white repaint is one of the best I have seen which was done before the previous 2 owners and the pictures don't do it justice. The only flaws are some stone chip repairs with touch up paint around the drivers headlight, a small spider crack on the passenger door and some spider cracking around the license plate area which I provided pictures of. If you didn't already know it was a repaint you would think it came from the factory this way. The luster of the pearl really sets the car apart from the normal white and gives it a deep shine in the summer sun. All the Indy decals are in great condition and were installed correctly. The interior is in fantastic condition and the red just pops in contrast to the pearl white paint. The seats have almost no wear except for the top of the driver seat where the leather has separated just enough to let the foam show a little which I pictured. The door panels, sils, and plastic trim are in excellent condition. Everything works to include AC, heat, power seats, power mirrors, power windows and all the digital gauges. The headlights roll out and in with no hesitation and in unison. The top unlatches and folds into a roadster just like the factory designed it and is in excellent condition with no tears or holes. The rear window has some scratches but you won't notice them with the top down and your hair in the wind. New carpet and floor mats were installed just about a year ago by the previous owner and show no signs of wear. Overall this C4 convertible pace car is in great condition and needs nothing to be enjoyed for many years to come. The car will retain and grow in value for the new owner no matter if you are a purest or enthusiast of these cars. This C4 is in turn key condition and can be enjoyed as soon as it arrives to its new owner. With very little detailing you could take it to your local car show and go home with a trophy.
