This is a 1968 Pontiac GTO. Matching numbers 400 engine. The engine has been overhauled with a mild cam, headers and 750 CFM Edlebrock carburetor. It is very fast! It has the original 400 THM transmission that was remanufactured by Jasper in March. The rebuild is a stage 1 which includes extra clutches, a shift kit and 3000 RPM stall convertor. The transmission comes with a 3 year warranty from Jasper. It has a 3.73 posi differential. New BFG tires were installed 05/24/14. Brakes are at 98%. It has the original Hurst dual gate shifter. The body is straight and shows no signs of rust with the exception of 2 small spots on the inside of both doors at the lower rear corner. There is no underside rust, floor pans are in perfect shape. The paint is not perfect and shows age but from 10’ looks good. It is a color change, the original color was white. The interior is in great shape but the dash pad need replacment. This car came with factory A/C but the compressor and brackets have been removed. It has the optional hide away headlight all parts are in place but need some work to make operational and the wipers need work and it needs a RF window regulator. I have tried to describe the car with both good point and bad. This car has great bones and is the perfect for someone that wants to restore an original GTO to pristine condition or drive it as is with little repairs.
