The truck appears as a patina rat rod but don't be fooled, we have performed a meticulous frame off build and is brand new from front to rear other than the sheet metal itself. This truck has everything you could want in a new car packaged within one of the most highly sought after trucks ever produced. This is the truck that sets the bar high for this style and now's your chance to own it. The factory chassis was converted to independent suspension using a 1970s Camaro sub frame. The frame was Z'd front and rear and completely boxed make it rigid. Custom cross members and a custom rear four link were integrated into the chassis. The rear end is a 8.5 gm rear with a brand new Yukon posi-traction carrier and Richmond 3.73 gears, all the internals are brand new. The front and rear brakes are 13”C5 ZO6 Corvette calipers with drilled rotors. All bushings, ball joints, tie rods and suspension parts are brand new as well as shocks front and rear. The air ride system features 2500lb air bags at all four corners, electric valves, Viair 480c compressor, 5 gallon tank. Truck lifts up and drives great with no rubbing anywhere. The U.S. Mags billet wheels were custom built for this truck for perfect clearances at all corners high and low. The wheels are 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the rear with NEW 245/35/20 and 275/35/20 in the rear. The engine is a highly detailed and dressed 5.3l Vortec that has been custom tuned for optimal performance . The engine with upgrades has around 340hp on 87. The transmission is a 4l60e and is fitted with a Lokar shifter and frame mounted trans cooler. Dolphin electric gauges monitor the engine. The fuel system was retrofitted for fuel injection while still retaining a factory appearance with a new tank behind the seat. A custom A/C top mount compressor bracket and chrome Sanden compressor run the Old air products A/C unit that features a heater and defrost. The aluminum radiator has a custom shroud fabricated with an electric fan and an ac condenser cleanly mounted in front keeping the engine cool and the A/C freezing. Not many of these slammed trucks actually have a complete exhaust system. To make this truck a pleasure to drive and still be able to hear your radio we installed a custom 2.5”manderal bent exhaust with a pair of Flowmaster primary mufflers and a set of secondary bullet mufflers to give it a distinct sound The exhaust exits through a custom built tip that fits nicely in the flipped rear bumper. This truck features electric windshield wipers with all new glass and seals. The glass on sides and rear window are smoked glass so no worries about the tint going bad or bubbling. The interior is completely new and as you can see is flawless. Custom carpet and floor mats were made and bound to finish off the solid floor of the truck. We even made a rear panel to cover the back of the seat for a clean look when you look through the back window. A Kenwood cd player with kicker speakers finish up the sound system. The truck has a brushed stainless tilt steering column with turn signals and flashers and a working horn with the 1959 impala steering wheel. The truck has new painless wiring from front to rear that was wired correctly and all the connections were soldiered and heat shrinked for long life and problem free operation. The Body is in great shape as you can see in the pictures is a pretty solid truck. The entire cab was stripped and painted using matrix base clear. The dash was outfitted with the A/C vents, controls, and billet knobs. A custom bed floor and wheel tubs were built and raised to clear all the suspension components underneath, and has a removable panel in the rear to get to the air ride system and battery. The bed floor was finished in a “Black Wood” finish with stainless rail. All the sheet metal and inner structure above and below has been coated using defender spray in bed liner coating. No area of this truck was untouched and all bolts and fasteners are new all components are new and true truck drives like a new truck. This truck is truly a one of a kind build and the quality and workmanship that went into the build is apparent.This truck is not a rat rod by any means but in reality is a completely restored work of art.
