The Delorean DMC-12 is one of those timeless designs that begs to be looked at twice. For sale is my nearly spotless example that could not be a better representation of John Delorean's original vision. The car has been up kept obsessively, and this is evident in the clean panel grains and groomed interior. Mechanically the car is excellent. It has the original PRV V6 with a Single Ray Jay Turbo upgrade. The engine has plenty of torque and sounds excellent with its free flowing exhaust. The 5 speed gearbox shifts buttery smooth into every gear, and the clutch take-up is very precise. Brake pedal feel is firm and responsive with great feedback. The pads and discs are new and do not need to be serviced The suspension is surprisingly compliant for a sports car, but the chassis is rigid and is very agile for spirited driving. This particular DMC has the intended lower European spec suspension for an aggressive stance and better handling dynamics that US cars did not receive. All drivetrain and general maintenance was professionally performed by DMC California and the comprehensive service history comes with the car. Exterior wise, this Delorean is in exceptional shape. The car has been garaged its entire life, has never driven in the rain, and is kept under a cover. The stainless steel is cleaned regularly with microfiber rags. The headlights and tail lights still look brand new. All plastic trim and rear louvers are devoid of any scratches or signs of wear. The wheels and tires are still fresh, no curb rash or rock chips. Engine bay has no dirt or dust. All rubber piping and other mechanical peripherals are leak free, the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and downpipe are all ceramic-coated to keep under hood temperatures down and provide extra wear resistance against dings and scratches. Interior is vacuumed and detailed almost daily. Air conditioning blows ice cold. The carpets have virtually no stains. Leather seats are in great shape, no wrinkles to speak of. Interior upgrades include a Rockford Fosgate subwoofers and a removal Pioneer headunit with MP3/CD capabilities. The audio upgrades nicely compliment the overall pleasant cabin experience. There is an integrated boost gauge near the center console to monitor turbo boost in real time. All switchgear and buttons are extremely clean. Other upgrades are an optional 170 MPH speedometer , and the popular Wings Aloft remote controlled automatic doors installed by Delorean California. And of course, there is the all important Flux Capicitor hidden behind the driver's seat. This is one of the cleanest Deloreans currently for sale with a host of tasteful upgrades.
