This auction is for a 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible, maroon paint, white top, and red interior. I have owned a few of these 65/66 Fury's and this is the best driving one I have had so far. The steering is nice and tight and suspension is very smooth on the bumpiest road top. No cracks in the steering wheel. A old restoration that was well kept. One rip in the drivers seat and one in the passenger seat(see pics). It has the 318 Poly engine(2BBL) which I have gone through, new gaskets,, set the valve lash, points, condenser, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, thermostat, hoses, belts. I changed the tranny fluid and filter. Doors open and close nice, windows go up and down. The top is brand new, new fabric, new pump, new motor and it works super smooth. Newer carpet. Brand new bumpers(cost$800). Everything is there for the most part. The car has not been raped or lost of parts. Even the little hood blinkers work. Your wife will not be angry about this car either. The bad....It looks very impressive as a driver, but it needs rear quarters, some areas under the back seat and the trunk floor need to be patched or replaced. The exhaust has two bends that need to be replaced(very easy section cost $200 at the most). The tires have a lot of tread and look new, but they are old and I always feel that should be stated. Most people don't realize tires have a shelf life. The clock does not work(Radio works great). I think the end cap of the console is missing. This is a good running and nice looking turn the key, daily driver. I would have no fear taking it for a long trip. Starts perfect, runs great, its not fast, just a good cruiser that gets a lot of attention and is fun to drive. Brakes are manual, but you wouldn't know it, stops great. I am not sure of the exact mileage, my guess is that the odometer is correct.
