First thing - The pictures DO NOT do it justice. Fresh from storage, not cleaned or detailed at all. This is a very cool car for cruising and is a real head turner. I have a SL65 now...so I don't use this one and it's just collecting dust. Want to find someone to use it and enjoy it like I did for many years from coast to coast. 1984 European 500 SL AMG. It is a 1984, not a 1980, but with a Euro vin#, I must list it that way for Ebay. 8 cylinder Euro engine w/ extra HP. Runs great...smooth and quiet. Full factory AMG body kit. Factory AMG suspension. Euro bumpers. Proper spacers used at top of shocks to provide a GREAT stance. Very Nice and STRAIGHT with ONLY a small dent on top of front fender which happened in storage. An EZ fix with no paint work needed. (Carsmetics type) Has a custom stereo (which can be removed) W Alpine CD in dash, JL Audio Amps and Subs and MB Quart Speakers in the corners. 12 Drivers in All! I would suggest the head unit should be replaced to a newer model. Has both tops, but hard top is a bit "rough." Runs great! Serviced by top Mercedes Tech. Car is located in Largo FL, 33773. On May-20-14 at 07:15:37 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer questions - It has been stored in air conditioning (24/7) Yes - the AMG suspension is a lowered suspension by design. It does have 4 wheel disc brakes, ABS and driver airbag (needs replacing ?) It is fully metal, no bondo anywhere. No rust. Chrome and rubber great. Wheels have aluminum lip which should be polished to a mirror finish for best looks. It really needs "nothing" except a good detail, wax, polish and interior cleaned to enjoy right away. Like I have said..it should get the fluids changed and, even though they look good, tires may need to be replaced.
