1966 Ford Mustang Up for sale is a perfect example of a rust-free and original matching number’s California Pony. This car was built in San Jose, CA and has never left the state, still has all original factory body panels throughout. It’s a very reliable Mustang with a brand new engine that would make an excellent daily driver for someone looking to drive a fuel-efficient classic car. I get about 22mpg in this beauty! Clean CA title in hand with current registration until Feb 2015 ready to be transferred to new owner. The Mustang was cosmetically restored back in 2008 and the interior and power-train were done just last year. Both the original 200ci engine and C-4 automatic trans were completely rebuilt and have less than 500 miles drive time. Car runs great and shifts very smooth into all gears. Interior is clean, almost everything was replaced last year including carpet, upholstery, headliner, dash pad, door panels, new steering wheel, dash cluster, and misc moldings. The car was in sunny Temecula, CA most of its life which is why we opted for a custom fabric interior vs. original vinyl so it didn’t get unbearably hot in the summer. The 6 year old paint job still looks clean but there are some tiny imperfections from average use over the years. Nothing major, just a few tiny paint chips only visible from up close. As I mentioned before the car has all original body panels including floor pans, frame rails, torque boxes, trunk area, fenders, rear quarters, doors, ect.. Everything lines up nice and straight with perfect spacing between hood, trunk, doors, and fenders. The body is very straight and it was blocked several times to get the paint looking like glass. It’s a custom silver metallic paintjob with a slight pearl added to the clear coat. Doors open and close like the day it rolled off the assembly line with no sagging like many 50 year old Mustangs. Original glass all around in great shape and all 4 windows roll up and down fine. New weather-stripping throughout the car including, front & rear windshield seals and chrome moldings. Brake system was rebuilt just last month and car stops perfect. Suspension is mostly original but does have new bushings and shocks. Car handles great and feels safe at any speed. Tires have about 90% tread left. The undercarriage and trunk area have not been restored yet but aside from that she’s very clean and can be enjoyed as is or with a little extra work turned into a real show car =) The Mustang is available for inspection by any potential buyer during this auction so feel free to call and set up an appointment (714) 426-9147 -Dave.
