Up for auction is a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24, for project, repair or parts. Vehicle does run and drive, but engine has a rod knock, and will need repair or replacement, and also to be towed away. Interior has been mostly been stripped away, as I was planning to do a large custom stereo install along with a new interior until the rod knock symptom. Most of the car's interior sheet metal has been covered with HushMat sound damping material. As far as the exterior, there are various scratches (some deep) and dings, door/window sill weatherstripping is cracked, and there is heavy rust on both the drivers and passengers rocker panels underneath the Z24 side skirt, along with rust on the rear quarter panel wheel wells. Wiper cowl cover has a large crack in it. Side marker lights were modified, and will require replacement for legal road use. The rear impact bar, bumper cover and trunk are misaligned and damaged due to a rear end collision. Vehicle has been garage kept for 5 years, but not driven much in those 5 years. A new exhaust was installed before it was parked due to rod knock. Also has a newer 140 amp alternator, KYB GR2 shocks all around, and an Eibach SportLine drop spring kit (1 inch drop front and rear). I do have carpet and other various parts for this vehicle too. Also have receipts for repair and maintenance that has been performed on this as well. Haven't had the time or the funds to fix this up, and it is taking up garage space, so I got to let it go. Don't see many of these around nowadays, so this would make a decent project car for one willing to put time into it. Any questions, or would like to view the vehicle, please email me.
