1990 BMW E30 325i 2 door, 83,604 miles. Includes: 6 cyl. 2.5L engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, power steering, ABS power brakes, alloy wheels, air conditioning, original stereo, power mirrors, power antenna, power locks, power windows, cruise control, tinted glass, limited slip differential, power sunroof, original tool kit, original BMW windshield sunshade. This car is totally stock, other than the items that have been replaced as regular maintenance (e.g. exhaust system, floor mats, brakes, etc.). We are the third owners and have owned this car for 5 years. We have all receipts and notes from previous owners, dating all the way back to the original window sticker, sales receipt and application for registration. The car is in very good overall condition, with no serious rust, and it has never suffered any accident damage, other than the minor dent in the trunk lid noted below. I have included photos of all areas of potential concern. I have a clear Iowa title. The car is currently registered in Iowa, but my son has it with him in the Tampa, Florida area. Most of the photos were taken last July, when the car left for Florida. However we have included updated photos of anything that has changed significantly since then. The vehicle is also listed locally, so I reserve the right to end this listing at any time. Please view the photos, as you are getting what is represented and I have tried to be as open about the condition as possible. However, no warranty is expressed or implied. On the other hand, people usually ask, "Can it be driven to xxxxx after purchase?". All I can tell you is that I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, but please understand it is 25 years old and anything can happen. It made it to Florida with no issues last year, and has been used almost daily since then, commuting approximately 50 miles per day, until very recently. Buyer must take delivery of the vehicle and complete payment of the full purchase price in cash within 7 days. No checks of any kind will be accepted. (However, I am willing to take the remaining payment via Paypal, if you are willing to add the 2.9% that Paypal takes off the top.) If these terms are not met, your deposit will be forfeited and the vehicle will be relisted. Recent significant maintenance or expenses: New fuel pump - 2014 Water pump and timing belt - 2013 Exhaust replaced (local shop work, not BMW parts) - 2013 (Note, some of the photos of the chassis and lower body show the original exhaust, while others show the new one.) Spark plugs, air filter, tuneup – 2013 Alternator belt - 2013 Rear brake pads and rotors - 2012 AC service - 2011 New tires - 2009 Oil changes as required Issues - These are mostly minor, particularly for a 25 year old vehicle, and photos have been included where possible: Brake warning light illuminates intermittently, but the brakes are OK. (This was actually noted in documentation from the original owner, and it has never presented a problem. Pushing the reset button turns it off.) Oil change light needs to be reset (they skipped this at the last oil change). Trip odometer does not appear to function. The rubber strip is missing from the lower edge of the front airdam. There is a minor dent in the rear of the trunk lid. The previous owner did this when she got a little too close while parking her SUV in the driveway one night. Clear coat on the trunk lid is deteriorated. It tends to look "OK" with diligent buffing and waxing, but you may want to redo it. Small rust bubble starting above left rear taillight. Small rust bubble starting on front edge of right door. Cracked map bin on driver's door. Tear on driver's seat. Small spot on front passenger seat. Grease marks on rear seat, from a bicycle sprocket. (I have not tried to remove these, but I expect hand cleaner and upholstery cleaner would have a significant impact on them if we tried.) Additional minor marks in the rear armrest and interior side panel, also from the bike. Minor paint chips. Scratch on left rear fender lip, where the side of the garage got a little too close. And for those of you who really know these cars, some things that have not gone wrong... There are no cracks in the dash. The paint is still adhering to the mirrors and looks new. There is no rust on the sunroof panel. The lower body/undercarriage panels, particularly the jack points, are not rusted beyond minor surface rusting. The speedometer and odometer have always worked as they should. ...so the mileage is accurate. The car has never been modified. *** Special Note Regarding Mileage *** The automated "AutoCheck" results may show a mileage "discrepancy" stating "Not Actual Miles". I researched this with the Iowa Department of Transportation when it occurred. Findings: It is not required to state mileage on title transfer transactions for vehicles over 10 years old in Iowa. In addition mileage is not recorded on titles in Iowa, nor is it recorded at registration renewal events. Iowa DoT has validated that, "this is a perfectly clean title" (their words). There is NO mileage discrepancy or documentation of title or odometer replacement in their records. The service receipts for this vehicle, which typically include both mileage and dates, also corroborate the current odometer mileage.
