You are bidding on an overall very nice 1966 Cadillac Calais. This is a highly optioned car and all options are in perfect working order. Power steering, brakes, windows, seats, as well as ice cold AC. The car was purchased new in Florida by an elderly lady who owned it until the early 80s when she sold it to another older gentleman in the Chicago area that used it for shows. He passed away in 2006 and after sitting in a storage unit for 8 years I purchased it out of his estate. After 8 years of sitting all I did was threw a set of jumper cables on it and it fired right up and drove on the trailer. Due to the fact that it hadn't been driven for so long it needed some tlc. In the last 6 months I have spent over 4k completely going through and replacing many of the mechanical components, exhaust, brakes, window motors, and much more. This car is in PERFECT mechanical condition and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. I also just spent $750 getting the air conditioning system in perfect working order. The black interior of this car is as flawless as you get for original. The newly replaced carpet is the only part of the interior that is not original however I did replace it with the correct black loop carpet. I found the original inspection sheet from 1965 while replacing the carpet which will go with the sale. The interior of this car is beautiful. The exterior is overall very solid but is not show quality. There are rust bubbles on the back passenger fender, a paint chip above the passenger window, and two small rust holes in the trunk. All of these are easily fixable. Other than the small holes in the trunk the rest of the trunk is extremely solid(it looks rusty in the pics but that us just rust stains). I have the cardboard kit for the trunk but for the pictures I removed the pieces so you could get a good look at how solid it is. The floors inside the car are perfect as can be seen in the picture taken before new carpet was installed. The underbody is in great condition as well. The front bumper is currently off due to the bumper end being rusted through (very common). I have purchased a replacement bumper end just have not had time to install it yet. Chrome will now all be very nice. This is a very solid Cadillac that just needs a little tlc to be show worthy. I have over 11k in this car in the past 6 months but need to sell due to growing family. I have included very detailed pictures highlighting every imperfection.
