Vehicle Detail

Here's a nice survivor, 1968 Honda cl175 which appears to be in almost all original condition with just the right amt of patina if that's your thing. From what I found they call this one and the 69 the rare "sloper" as the cylinders lean forward. I bought it from a retired guy who lucked out and bought it at an estate sale! He cleaned the carbs, put on a new throttle cable and battery and scooted around the neighborhood here in AZ. He said the speedometer didn't work and was replaced by the previous owner and I did nothing but put on new OEM Honda pegs and grips and paint the fork lowers as they were stained. I held myself back from restoring it or cafeing it as it is just too nice of an original. Quite honestly my intent is to flip it as I am a hard core 2 stroke nut, although it's a very cool bike and an awesome piece of history it's not my thing.( I don't do cycles with valves, Ha!) It starts and stops, idles, shifts and drives around quite nicely.(video on youtube). All lights and signals work. Original optional luggage rack in place. Crash bar came with bike too and will be included. Besides the fork lowers it has not been touched up in any way be me and it doesn't appear anyone else either. It is a pretty "8 footer" but up close the patina shows. Paint chips on the tank, a few on the frame, spokes need cleaned, small tear on original seat, exhaust headers discolored, original cable casings cracked(all work fine), speedo casing seal worn and paint wear on the side covers from cable rub, despite this once again pretty dang nice for a 46 year old bike. Note the lack of rust too, assume it has been in Arizona awhile. My research showed that these bikes were not identical matching numbers and this one is close and there is no doubt in my mind this is original. This particular bike is titled on the engine vin, not sure if this was done a lot back then, it's a clear AZ notorized class c title which means maybe not the original miles( because the speedo was replaced). Any questions are welcome and encouraged, I'm not a 4 stroke Honda guy but I will be glad to tell you anything else I can. You are welcome to have a representative see the bike also. I am easy to work with and will assist with shipping worldwide but arrangements will be up to the buyer. I'll update the video info soon. If you are looking for one of these it is definitely a nice survivor, reserve is WELL below buy it now, good luck! *** YOUTUBE VIDEO- type in 68 HONDA CL175 006 Sorry about the wind noise...
